Story : Kyle Kingson (Alex Pettyfer) has it all – looks, intelligence, wealth and opportunity – and a wicked cruel streak. Prone to mocking and humiliating “aggressively unattractive” classmates, he zeroes in on Goth classmate Kendra Hilferty (Mary Kate Olsen), inviting her to the school’s extravagant environmental party. Kendra accepts, and, true to form, Kyle blows her off in a particularly savage fashion. She retaliates by casting a spell that physically transforms him into everything he despises. Enraged by his horrible and unrecognizable appearance he confronts Kendra and learns that the only solution to the curse is to find someone that will love him as he is within one year – a task he considers impossible. Repulsed by his appearance, Kyle’s callous father (Peter Krause) banishes him to Brooklyn with a sympathetic housekeeper (Lisa Gay Hamilton) and blind tutor (Neil Patrick Harris). As Kyle ponders how to overcome the curse and get his old life back, he chances upon a drug addict in the act of killing a threatening dealer. Seizing the opportunity, Kyle promises the addict freedom and safety for his daughter, Lindy Taylor (Vanessa Hudgens) if she will consent to live in Kyle’s Brooklyn home. Thus begins Kyle’s journey to discover true love in this present-day retelling of the classic “Beauty and the Beast” story.

Likes : ONE WORD WOW, this film was just amazing a classic tale of beauty & the beast made into a modern day fairy tale where kyle kingson (Alex pettyfer star of i'am number four) gets turn in to a hideous scared man for his vanity & cruel nature to other but this curse has one problem he has to find love in a year other wise he stay the way he is,i love this film for one reason no matter what you look like there is always beauty inside of a person no matter whats on the outside because vain people that obsessed with looks & just cruel put other down because there not that good look always end up alone, this film is such i good story line & i loved Vanessa Anna hudgen in this she look so beautiful,i think she suits these type of roles in a film she got that romantic style about her (Mary-Kate Olsen)who plays Kendra as the witch was just awesome ,this film really pulled on the heart string all the way through it just a beautifully made film & well put together.

Dislike : a tad bit slow but for what the film is you can see past that.

Overall : If you love the romantic feel of films this is one to watch, it will have you laughing, crying & feel happy at the same time it a very good all round film to watch.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars for entertainment, 10 out of 10 for romantic feel & story line.
