Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: Clash of The Titans: Wrath of The Titans

Story: A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus-the demigod (Sam Worthington) son of Zeus-is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity's lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus' godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramirez), switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans' strength grows stronger as Zeus' remaining godly powers are siphoned

Likes : This was OK,but not great,special effects were awesome storyline was OK, Sam Worthington reprise he role as Perseus who has a son helius try to have a quiet life when all hell break loss when the gods start losing power because no one is praying to them.Because the gods are losing there power the titan prison becomes an unstable fortress were they can be free,Edgar Ramirez playing Zeus other son betrays the gods by releasing kronos Zeus father trapped in torturous the depts of hell,perseus is not alone in this journry alone with Andromeda queen of argos played by Rosamund Pike alone with Agenor (Toby Kebbell) poseidon son demi god as well they travel in the depts of hell to get zeus (Liam Neeson) from hades (Ralph Fiennes) & Ares (Édgar Ramírez) & stop kronos from being released.

Dislikes : This is a first for me not like this type of film much,it felt rushed & just didnt have the same feel as the first film,the other problem was they changed the actress for Andromeda queen of agros,dont get me wrong Rosamund Pike is gorgeous amazing actress but they shouldnt of changed the actress playing the part,i was expecting more of an adventure like the first one,it was over before it start.

Overall : not a bad film,good in places,you mite like it but to me it was rushed.

Rating: 3 out of 5 star for entertainment, 7 out of 10 for gods & titan theme.

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: The Divide

Genre:   Drama Sci-Fi Thriller, contains strong sexual contain & strong violences

Story: In this graphic and violent, post-apocalyptic thriller, nine strangers-all tenants of a New York high rise apartment-escape a nuclear attack by hiding out in the building's bunker-like basement. Trapped for days underground with no hope for rescue, and only unspeakable horrors awaiting them on the other side of the bunker door, the group begins to descend into madness, each turning on one another with physical and psycho-sexual torment. As supplies dwindle, and tensions flare, and they grow increasingly unhinged by their close quarters and hopelessness, each act against one another becomes more depraved than the next. While everyone in the bunker allows themselves to be overcome by desperation and lose their humanity, one survivor holds onto a thin chance for escape even with no promise of salvation on the outside.

Likes : not a bad film, to be honest a little screwed up, this film was basically base on 7 people trapped trying to survive a nuclear apocalypse that no one no why or who started it, it start off normal at first just seven people down in a bunker trying to survive until they start showing sign of psychotic behaviour being close in a small boomb shelter together,this where it starts getting twisted.The build jantior Mickey played by Michael Biehn is holding alot of food from the group things start getting out of control as Josh played by Milo Ventimiglia (star of heroes tv series) & Bobby played by Michael Eklund start showing sign of psychotic behaviour & start to loss it big time.the rest of the group before this happen a group of heavly armed men burst through the door of the bunker & take the little girl Wendi played by Abbey Thickson who plays the daughter of Marilyn played by Rosanna Arquette away but this was just the start of the problem,marilyn start to break down after her little girl was taken but she runs to the arms of bobby who after a while start to abuse her in a psycho-sexual torment,these scene will desturb some people watching this special on what happens through the film as one by one they all start lossing there minds,the only one that seem to keep her head is Eva played by Lauren German who seem to be very strong willed in the situtaion there all in.i find this film very dark ,moody & voilent.

Dislikes : the only thing wrong is the fact you dont know whos lunched the nuclear weapons or who start it & the psycho-sexual torment that happen to marilyn rosanna argutte character that was serious evil & to much for me

Overall : A Very dark & moody film about survival,beware that some scene mite offend you because its realy dose get a bite to dark at time.

Rating: 4 out of 5 star for entertainment,7 out of 10 for post-apocalyptic thriller

Genre: Drama Family, Family film some scene may not be suitable for kid under 12

Story: Acclaimed filmmaker Cameron Crowe (Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous) directs an amazing and true story about a single dad who decides his family needs a fresh start, so he and his two children move to the most unlikely of places: a zoo. With the help of an eclectic staff, and with many misadventures along the way, the family works to return the dilapidated zoo to its former wonder and glory.

Likes : Every now & then i love film like this a heart warming storyline that will melt your heart & really make you cry. A father of two Benjamin Mee played by Matt Damon struggle to keep this family happy after losing the love of he's life Katherine Mee (Stephanie Szostak beautiful actress)(cameo role) to illness , after six months of trying to keep it together he's struggling & decides to make a new start with his kids Dylan Mee (Colin Ford) & Rosie Mee (Maggie Elizabeth Jones) by buying a new house but this home comes with a run down zoo that need fixing up he see a new future.Thomas Haden Church Duncan Mee benjamin's bother who loves him & tries to make him see sense but cant control him decide if you cant beat them join them.J.B. Smoove (cameo) plays the housing agent Mr. Stevens who sell him the house with the zoo.Scarlett Johansson beautiful actress plays zoo keeper Kelly Foster a passionate zoo keeper trying to keep the zoo from falling apart fall in love with Benjamin after realize that he brought the zoo just to keep it open.Angus Macfadyen plays an angry zoo keeper that wants to kill Walter Ferris played by John Michael Higgins who fleeced him of £600 gave it to another zoo,Walter Ferris is a zoo inspector that people hate because he acts like he god.along with the other zoo keepers Robin Jones (Patrick Fugit), Lily Miska (Elle Fanning),Rhonda Blair Carla Gallo) its a roller coaster ride of ups & down emotion trying to get a zoo ship shape & open again.the really heart breaking thing in this film was the tiger spar only 17 years old had to be put down because he was in pain & ill,it really made my cry it was so emotion.

Dislikes : nothing wrong with this film.

Overall : warming true story that family will love to watch,a truly heart melting film ive watch in a long time.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for storyline, 8 out of 10 for the zoo theme & emotion feel of the film

Story: From filmmaker Andrew Stanton comes John Carter-a sweeping action-adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars). The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands.

Likes : Omg this film was fantastic,sc-fi,adventure/romance/action all rolled in to one film. Taylor Kitsch plays john carter a war veteran just looking for a way to survive after he lost he family to a war he never want a part of but on he's search for gold he discovers a race Matai bent on destroy every in the name of claiming the chaos in the galaxy,he discover also that being on there planet he has the ability to jump long distances & have the strength to defeat an entire army of soldiers single handed,Taylor kitsch character as john carter was just outstanding, rediscovering he humanity to save mars & its people from being destroyed was just inspiring accompanied by a loyal dog like creature that can move seriously fast i mean flash fast was just funny. Lynn Collins wow what a beautiful,stunning actress plays the princess of mars Dejah Thoris a beautiful princess force to marry a evil man that has been give powers to destroy by the alien race bent of destroying every to rid the universe of chaos,falls in love with john carter after he save her.her performance was just outstanding play the princess.Willem Dafoe voice of Tars Tarkas chief of a race john carter meet first when he ends up on mars after killing one of the evil races & speak words to transport him there.Bryan Cranston plays the American war general Powell that was look for john carter to bring him back on from leave a war with out orders i think it was a cameo for Thomas as he was only in a few scenes.Mark Strong another brilliant actor plays the evil alien race leader bent on destroying everything Matai Shang,hes characater role was like going to every race putting dealt in there minds cause them to go to war with other races so they wipe each other out,he was very ruthless in this film as a character through but serious played it well.Ciarán Hinds plays the princess father Tardos Mors who has no choice but to make a pack with the evil Sab Than played by Dominic West to save he people from destruction but that where the twist was.James Purefoy (solomon Kane) plays Kantos Kan the right hand general of princess Dejah Thoris was pretty funny in this role with a sense of humor.Polly Walker the voice of Tars Tarkas daughter Sarkoja a female race of the aliens john carter first met you kind of feel sorry for her as the rest of the tribe treat her with disrespect & torture her for little things which i through was wrong Daryl Sabara play the nephew of john carter Edgar Rice Burroughs a young boy who inherits everything john carter owns for a reason which im not going to say because it will spoil the film so you just have to watch it for yourselves.

Dislikes : nothing wrong with this film

Overall : an inspiring film since gladiator this film brings it all adventure,action,romance,sc-fi it will make you laugh,cry & be inspired with emotion that will make you see the film as fantastic,its a must to see
