Story: Marvel's "Iron Man 3" pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Likes : This film is not bad, out of the 3 films done i have to admit this film is the best by far, it showed more depth to character of tony stark reprised by robert drowny jr, which show under all that male ego he has he still has a heart & thing do get to him.i love the way they made the back story to this film, which show that he created he's own demon which came back to bite him hard as he past caught up with him, but there was something going on in his mind which was something from the avengers when he enter the worm hole. From what i saw it looked like he feared death something effected him from that dark world where he sent the nuke to the nightmare's were effecting him but it also showed a human side to tony stark which gave the storyline more concept.Gwyneth Paltrow returns as Pepper Potts she was awesome in this film, she even got to wear the suit as well which was surprising but cool but you really could feel that tony loved her after a curtain scene to which i can mention because its would be a spoiler but you could really feel the pain in Tony's face which turned to anger.Ive got to say some of the iron man suit that come flying in were just awesome, special the Egor suit dam that thing was like the hulk just craved its way through the containers, there was one that was cool as well because it split in to piece & took out 5 guys a once then came together again.Along with the special effect & the balance between the sarcastic humour & serious moments of this film it was a well balanced & funny film in place's with some good banter.Ben Kingsley was just funny as hell in this film as well & Don Cheadle scene in the War Machine suit with some Iraq people was just classically funny.Guy Pearce was pretty good as well playing this sadistic evil person that wanted to start war the fight scene with him tony was brilliant brutal & fast. The scene with he litle boy Harley played by Ty Simpkins was really touching moment because the boy help tony out a lot in re-discovering himself.PS there is a 4 min ending after the credits with bruce banner played Mark Ruffalo which was funny.this is one film not to be miss as its the best iron man film yet with some intense moment's.

Dislikes : The only thing that was dispointing was you only get to see all the iron man suits for the last 20mins of the film, which i think could of been seen through out the film but its was ok to see them at the end.

Overall : Brilliant back story, good special effect, a more emotional iron man then the other two,but not to be miss just for the iron man suits alone.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 for entertainment / 8.9 out of 10 for action/different iron man suit's,concept & special effect.

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: Mama

Genre: horror warning this film dose contain disturbing scenes that involes kids.

Cert: 18 cert

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity:
A man and a woman kiss passionately, they fall back onto a bed and begin to pull each other's clothes off (we see the man's bare side) until they are interrupted when the woman thinks she sees someone in the hallway.
A woman climbs on top of a man in bed and straddles him, and then kisses him (they are both clothed and nothing else is shown).
A woman holds a pregnancy test stick in her hand and is pleased when it shows up negative.
A woman says, "Nice butt, Bruce" to a man on a TV.
A woman wears low-cut tops that reveal cleavage and bare shoulders in most scenes.

Violence & Gore: The supernatural being that we see throughout the movie appears in varying levels of detail: we sometimes see a gray-tinged, human face with limbs that twist unnaturally, and other times we see a wisp of black hair, blackened skin and long skeletal fingers.
A man holds a gun to the back of his young daughter's head and prepares to shoot when he is attacked by a supernatural being, pulled into the air and his neck is broken (we see this in a fuzzy view suggesting that this is what a young girl sees without her glasses).
Two young girls are chased by a supernatural being, one girl hides in her room and a woman comes to find out what's happening: the woman goes into the room where the being appears and chases the three of them out of the room; the woman falls and is "bitten" by the being (we see the woman go pale and gasp, one of the young girls cries for the being to stop, the being approaches the girl and they are interrupted by a noise.
A woman has a dream that shows someone walking through what appears to be a hospital or orphanage, stabbing a woman with a knitting needle (we see her bloody hands and blood on the woman's chest) and taking a child; we see the woman running from armed men that chase her to a cliff where she jumps, crashes into a branch and then falls into the water below.
A woman sees a wispy supernatural being moving on the floor toward her, she screams and it lunges up toward her face (we see the woman later, apparently taken over by the being and her skin is gray-tinged and moths fly out of her mouth).
A young girl eats a moth and we see a headless body in her hands and she has blackened smears around her mouth.
A young girl eats with her hands and snarls like an animal while sitting on the floor.

Profanity: At least one F-word, 5 scatological terms, 2 anatomical terms (1 mild), 2 mild obscenities and 4 religious exclamations.Name-calling (crazy.)

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: A woman drinks beer from a bottle.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:
The scenes with Mama are pretty frightening.
A woman is standing, a supernatural force comes down from the ceiling and disappears in the kitchen. Seconds later, the supernatural force appears right behind her. (Very scary)
A woman goes inside the closet after something goes in. She opens the closet door and starts moving clothes, nothing appears. Then a little girl distracts her and makes her look the other way when a supernatural being appears, on the closet, mad.
The scene where Mama takes Lilly with her off the cliff is quite climactic and can be very disturbing to some viewers.
A woman asks a little girl who's under the bed, then the camera moves down to the bed and we see mama's profile, then Mama goes up to the bed with the woman and the Woman screams. This scene can be very disturbing to Some audiences.
A man is about to shoot a girl, then Mama grabs him and beaks his neck. This scene is really scary.
The last 15 minutes of the movie can be very frightening.
Mama attacks a woman, and later on we see the woman with mama's face and turns violent.
Two little girls go downstairs and find mama at the end of the downstairs hallway. A girl tells the other girl not to look at her because she's mad. The little girl turns to look at mama and mama violently flies over where the girls are. This might be the scariest part of the film.

Story: Guillermo del Toro presents Mama, a supernatural thriller that tells the haunting tale of two little girls who disappeared into the woods the day that their mother was murdered. When they are rescued years later and begin a new life, they find that someone or something still wants to come tuck them in at night. The day their father killed their mother, sisters Victoria and Lilly vanished near their suburban neighborhood. For five long years, their Uncle Lucas (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and his girlfriend, Annabel (Jessica Chastain), have been madly searching for them. But when, incredibly, the kids are found alive in a decrepit cabin, the couple wonders if the girls are the only guests they have welcomed into their home.

Likes : Watching this film Ive got to say its entertaining, it dose have it moments where it dose get a little disturbing special the scene with the kids, but the lack of imagination in this film is just lacking severely.there isnt much i can say that i like about this film other then the fact it was enjoyable to watch but as a horror it fails on the chill factor for me this is why i cant say much on liking this film i was a little dissapointed.

Dislikes : There are serval reason why this film failed to scare, one 10mins in to the film we are introduced to a hidious ghost like creature, now this was a serious mistake in any horror film, because right off the bat youve completely lost the chill & scare factor of the film. You never ever show a ghost or kill at the begin of the film with this type of film, because once the aduince has see the creature there is no scare factor to make you jump or hide behind the sofa because youve already see what it is.the only way to make a good horror of this type is to keep the creature or ghost out of site until almost the very end of the film,it keep the mystery & the chilling scare factor of a horror film, that is where this film completely failed tho it was entertaining it just wasnt scary enough i found myself not bothering to watch it that is now poorly made this film is & it could of been better made for the type of film.

Overall : Failure as a horror, but entertainng film none the less.

Rating: 2.3 out of 5 for entertainment / 4.7 out of 10 for horror/concept

As our national security team scrambles to respond, they are forced to rely on Banning's inside knowledge to help retake the White House, save the President and avert an even bigger disaster

Likes : Gerard Butler is back on top form, one of he's best films to date, this is what die hard use to be but in the white house. This film was just brilliantly done, i love the way they made Gerard character this hard ass, no hold barred ex commando ranger force battalion special op solider, which seriously he kick ass in this film, it was a little slow at the begin & tragic at one point but when this film really dose kick in it seriously kicks in. It was complete chaos bullets firing everywhere, people getting gunned down in the street special with the way the white house gets taken over unbelievable action that is complete thrown in your face.Be warn tho this film is very brutal special some scene in the bunker, Aaron Eckhart bring a brilliant peformance as the president who trying to keep it together with he son after what happen to his wife, he's character bring this hard nose man that wont back down i think that kind of what gerard character made to be because there seem to be a friendship between them.Morgan Freeman bring a brilliant performance as the speaker who has no choice but to stand in a the president to save this problem, Ashley Judd (cameo) play the pesidents wife she only in for a few moments at the begin of the film.Just the way this storyline take you on a rollercoaster of action, mayhem & brute fight scene that lead to a nail biting ending this film is one film you dont want to miss, all the hype this film has had live up to everything.i love the way gerard character has this scarastic ruthless side special when he gets complete mad,you could feel the conviction in he voice special some of hes scenes were so brute you had to look away from the screen special the head terriost in charge played by Rick Yune seriosly this guy was very brutal & didnt mess around when he said he was going to do something but there was some scene i throught was visious.

Dislike: The only thing in this film i didnt like is violence towards woman, special with one scene that was seriously nasty.

Overall : Action, mayhem, what die hard was back in the day, this is one film not to be missed.

Likes : I know most people don't like tom cruise film's & put his films down or just put the film down in general but this film is by far one of his best film's to date,Ya i know there's been a lot of movies that show end of the world stuff but never have they been well done like this film. From the very start the story on how the earth became like it was, was brilliantly done & sets the tone for the rest of the film plus with its stunning visual effect as well this film is what sc-fi is all about. What also good about this film is the storyline of it, its got such a twist in the storyline that leave you thinking what the hell is going on in such a brilliant way it works for the concept of the film.Tom cruise character was just brilliantly executed showed real depth in character specially when he find the truth behind everything which starts to get weird in the film specially with the twist in the storyline.Tom cruise play a drone tech that goes out everyday search the area & making sure the drones are working OK along with his partner Victoria played by Andrea Riseborough who play her character brilliantly.Olga Kurylenko character Julia provides the twist in the story along with Morgan Freeman character Beech who show tom's character
the truth that where this film starts take off,in the aspect of taking the story further which slow reveal the truth behind the attack on earth & reveal a twist in to curtain things that are show in this film,to finally see what the alien looks like which was just absolute amazing with the special effect.this has to be the best film Ive seen so far in sc-fi that really take you on a roller coaster of emotions with the inspirational music score to this film as well really dose give this film its edge. This is one film to watch at the cinema &not miss, you wont be disappointed.

Dislike: Just slightly a little slow in places, but still worth watching.

Overall : Awesome backstory, awesome visaul effect, brilliant twist in the story,a must to watch for all sc-fi fans.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for enetertainment / 9.4 out of 10 for concept/visaul effects.

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: Dark Skies

Genre:  Horror Sci-Fi Thriller, Warning this film dose contain some intensely frightening violence, terror throughout, sexual material, drug content and language - all involving around young teens & kids.

Film Constance parent advised to read before watching :
Sex & Nudity: A husband and his wife kiss and caress each other while under a bed sheet; we see her bare shoulders and sex is implied.A husband and his wife kiss passionately and hug.

A woman is shown wearing only a T-shirt and her bare legs to the upper thigh are shown; when she walks in front of a window we can see through the fabric to the outline of her upper thighs and crotch. Many men and women and boys and girls wear swimsuits at a swimming pool.
Two teenage boys watch pornography on TV; we see a man and a woman kissing, then the man caresses the woman's clothed breast and she moans sexually. We hear sexual moaning coming from behind a door; a teen boy opens the door and finds another teen boy and a teen girl sitting on a bed while watching pornography (we see a man and a woman on the TV and the woman's bare shoulders are visible).A teen boy touches a teen girl's clothed breast, and the girl yells at him and pushes him away.A teen girl kisses a teen boy tenderly.A woman talks about a married couple having an "open relationship."A teen boy talks to another teen boy about sexual activity and asks him what he has done and what he should do.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: The Greys (aliens) are pretty creepy, and will scare younger kids if taken to see this.Plenty of scary scenes, including a few jump-shock moments and some nightmare-like imagery (including blood, guns, and death.)
There are maybe two jumps in the film; much of the film moves at a slow pace and is more of a psychodrama than a horror film; it is disturbing, intense and unsettling throughout.

Cert: This film was given a 15 cert, due to its contents i believe this should of been a 18 cert because of the intense concept.

Written and Directed by Scott Stewart (PRIEST, LEGION) Starring: Keri Russell, Josh Hamilton, Dakota Goyo, Kadan Rockett and J.K. Simmons (c) Weinstein

Likes : Ive seen some horror films in my time, not a lot of them have given the shock factor that really frightens you yet apart from this one, Straight off the bat you notice this film is slightly slow your think OK this film is going to be boring but then it throw you a curve ball & seriously put you on the edge of your seat making you want to run behind the sofa & hide. This film Seriously has the concept of a intense, dark & frightening edge of your seat terror that chills you to the bone, horror films don't bother me much but this film seriously leave you check your back when you walk in to a room that is how frightening this film was.Special some scene that serious shock you & make you jump out of your seat with fear.Ive got to hand it to the director ya he made a mistake with paranormal activity & slightly with sidious but he really has done a fantastic job in frightening the audience with this one. Ive never walked away from a cinema feeling scared of something more then watching this film,it has that fear factor because most of of know where not the only planet to have live on & there are aliens out there, this film to have this feel is seriously frightening to know even if you lock yourself in your house they could still get to you.I would recommend watching this film if you love to be scared because this is a dam good film for it.The frighting thing as well is there is a saying that Arthur c Clarke said knowing that we could be alone in the universe or there could be intelligent life out there is both a frightening concept in its self. which is true because if alien's could be like this do we really what to find out who they are.Frightening thing was its was revolved around the kids which made the film more scary because know something sinister & dark wants your kid that would put the fear in any family it happens to.The performance from the stars Keri Russell & Josh Hamilton play the parents in this film really showed the fear as if it was real which really set the tone of a frightening film believable, play the two son's Dakota Goyo & Kadan Rockett performance was just outstanding is showing fear in a child's eye that something is coming for them.J.K. Simmons performance really made the film most frightening when he told the parents everything he had been through & what is coming in a very creep atmospheric way. This is one outstanding film not to be missed.

Dislike: Just a little slow in place, but not a bad film.

Overall : One of the most intense, dark & frightening film's this year, not to be missed.

Rating: 4.3 out of 5 for entertainment / 8.5 out of 10 for frightening scene / dark concept

Movie News: Could a 'Transformers'-'G.I. Joe' crossover movie happen?

Im a fan of both franchise's but ive just read this & im wondering weather this would be a complete mistake for both Franchise to be in the same film as a cross over film, but read this & judge for your selfs on what you think.

When I was a kid I used to love getting all my toys together and reenacting massive battles with epic story-lines. There’d be Transformers fighting alongside G.I. Joes and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles going up against The Thundercats. And I always had He-Man waiting in the wings, just in case it really started to go crazy. Man, was that fun.
You can imagine my excitement then when G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Transformers producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura talked about the possibility of the two franchises coming together and appearing in the same movie. Both are part of the same Hasbro universe and have also turned up in each others comic books. Could we potentially see Optimus Prime and Roadblock blowing stuff up on the same screen? Talking to Cinema Blend, here’s what Bonaventura had to say:
I don’t know necessarily why, but I just think there’s so much that’s so rich in the mythologies that I don’t think they need to draw from the other. I think, I didn’t rule it out for me and I think those things have somehow for me, sort of in the past, they made me feel like a little bit cynical exercises in just drawing money out of something. It’s not to say you couldn’t do it well, but both these properties have such rich mythologies with so many characters, that you could go a lot of movies before you start running out of ideas of what to do. But it’s not to say, if we found the right… I’d hate to set out to do that, but if I heard a story where we went, ‘Oh my God…,’ I could see a story right now about machination, machination of war and that could lead you sort of intrinsically to a Transformer.
So, he’s telling us there’s a chance?
Combining the Transformers and G.I. Joe mythologies could be a smart financial move as you only have to look at the massive success of The Avengers and the insatiable clamoring for a Justice League movie to see that crossovers can mean big business.
It could help solve one of the (many) criticisms I have towards the Transformers movies. I really disliked the movies’ over-reliance on the human characters to carry the story and it didn’t help that they were also badly written, unsympathetic and relatively soulless. Maybe introducing the Joes to go alongside the Autobots instead could improve that.
