Gerry barnaby's Film Review: Jack Reacher

Genre : Action Crime Thriller Content strong violence people being shot & murdered with some strong language

Cert: BBFC gave it a 12a, i give it an 18 cert with the level of violence

Story: Six shots. Five dead. One heartland city thrown into a state of terror. But within hours the cops have it solved: a slam-dunk case. Except for one thing. He knows this shooter-a trained military sniper who never should have missed a shot. Reacher is certain something is not right-and soon the slam-dunk case explodes. Now Reacher is teamed with a beautiful young defense lawyer, moving closer to the unseen enemy who is pulling the strings. Reacher knows that no two opponents are created equal. This one has come to the heartland from his own kind of hell. And Reacher knows that the only way to take him down is to match his ruthlessness and cunning-and then beat him shot for shot

Likes : Ive never read a book or seen comics on jack reacher character, i know some people will say its nothing like the book or comic but in defence of that when has a film ever been like the book, there is one reason for that, that people don't understand, you cant make a film like the book, they can only bring it close to the book with out changing the storyline in anyway because if a film is done like the book it becomes to complicated. This film was brilliant A strong performance from Tom Cruise and the suspenseful atmosphere created by Christopher McQuarrie.with it comical moment balanced with fast pace fights & car chase this film real delivers one of the best film tom cruise has done since last of the samurai that Ive really enjoyed laughing & watching. 2 hour film, with the interest factor holds high for its entirety as plot details are revealed at appropriate times.Solid action segments are spread throughout the story as needed and they are amusing without the help of CGI right off the bat you could see there was something not right about the situation as the story unfolds.Tom cruise plays jack reacher an ex military black ops expert that no one can find but he can find you, Tom really pulls off the Jack Reacher character with confident attitude with pithy remarks that really set hes character as someone you just don't want coming after you.Rosamund Pike beautiful off & on screen plays Helen who is a defence lawyer who get caught up in the assassination of 6 people but uncovers more with jacks help.Richard Jenkins plays her father Rodin a head district attorney who loves he daughter but think she digging to deep & doesn't like the fact she working with jack.David Oyelowo plays the cop who doesn't like jack & finds him shift but there is some else to this character which is revealed later in the film.Werner Herzog plays this evil sadistic man the zec that own a company that will do anything to get what it wants even if it killing someone to get what they want.Jai Courtney plays the right hand man of zec who dose the dirty work like killing people, his fate meet with jack character its a cat & mouse game.Joseph Sikora plays the ex sniper who has a past but for some reason know jack, its a suspenseful journey to find the truth behind the killing.Alexia Fast completely stunning plays Sandy a young woman who tries to set up jack but didn't work but was involved with some nasty people sealing her fate which set the tone for a personal vendetta for jack's revenge.Robert Duvall brilliant actor solid performance with a witty sense of humor plays this witty wise cracking shooting range own Cash who come to help jack in hes investigation. All with it banter, car chases fight scenes this seriously is one thriller worth watching & what a thriller should be made.top performance from all actors in this film.

Dislike: Nothing wrong with this film.

Overall : action, fight, scene tom cruise on top form acting this film is not to be missed, worth watching, best tom cruise film since last of the samurai

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 10 out of 10 for well balanced humour & action/suspenseful thriller

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review : Flight

Genre : Drama Content Warning this film contain strong alcohol & drug use's (strong point its not safe to drink or be under the influence of drugs its dangerous & stupid)

Cert: BBFC Gave this a 15, i would say 18 cert straight up due to the contents of the film.

Story: In this action-packed mystery thriller, Academy Award winner, Denzel Washington stars as Whip Whitaker, a seasoned airline pilot, who miraculously crash lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, saving nearly every soul on board. After the crash, Whip is hailed as a hero, but as more is learned, more questions than answers arise as to who or what was really at fault and what really happened on that plane?

Likes : i like Denzel Washington films some of them i love but this one was good for the first 20mins of the film with the plane but it kind of lost its charm after.Denzel Washington plays captain Whip Whitaker a pilot with an alcohol & drug problem probaley over not being able to see he's son or the split up with he ex wife but he problem were just the start Kelly Reilly plays a drug abuse problem woman whos  had a hard life until she has a wake up call & gose to aa & really turns her life around.this film had its ups an down, but it lacks the storyline to keep you interested in watch it,really the only good thing in this film was with the plane & its intense moment as they try to keep the plane in the air. it dose have a true message that it i hard for a acloholic to amite they have a problem, its only when you shock that person they realise they have a problem.

Dislike: there is to many to say in what i didnt like about this film but hes a few, the film starts off good for the first 20mins with the plane but then it seriously get so slow you want to fall asleep watching it,it just lacked the story line to keep you interested, the fact the film shows it ok to drink & drive not only to fly a plane when your under the influance of drugs & drinking alcohol is seriously wrong for the cert they gave this film plus the fact of drugs & drinking is cool to be doing things like that.

Overall : Overal this film was good for the first 20mins but dont expect it to be fast paced.

Rating: 2 out of 5 for entertainment / 4 out of 10 for plotline & theme

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: The hobbit part 1 An Unexpected Journey

Genre : Fantasy Adventure (contains) Violence & strong Gore, intense battle scenes & horror, not suitable for any one under 15

Cert: Cert 15

NOTE: This is only the first part of the hobbit, there is 3 parts of this storyline, 2nd part The Desolation of Smaug (the last great dragon of morgoth) will be in (2013) & the 3rd part There and Back Again (2014).

Story: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey follows title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior Thorin Oakenshield. Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain, first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever... Gollum. Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths ofguile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum's "precious" ...a simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know

Likes : Peter jackson has once again brought an outstanding lord of the rings film the hobbit,i completely love this film for several reason one of which the storyline it set the tone for the trilogy from the very begining to the lord of the ring fellowship of the ring, its a dark story between the defeat of saron to the rise of the evill once again rising to reclaim its power of the land in the fellowship of the ring.It is mentioned that there is a high darkness involed other then the smaug the last great dragon which is revieled in this film & shows a back ground story to the witch king of agmar which we all know from the other three films. The other thing i love about these films is the visual effect & concept of the film its self,it has to be one of the biggest fantasy film ever with an awesome storyline of magic, struggle, heart ache, strenght & courge against an overwhelming force of pure evil. The begining of this film was well made showing part of the fellowship of the ring before the jounrey to destory the ring as bilbo set the story of he's past.(Cameos) Ian Holm returns as Old Bilbo who set the storyline to he's past & Elijah Wood as Frodo for a brief scene at the start.Ian McKellen return to he's role as Gandalf who show a bit more of he's powers in the film which i like because he didnt real show much in the other films,Martin Freeman plays the younger Bilbo which i like the way theyve kept he's personality from the fellowship of the ring dosent like having vistors but love a good adventure,it will be good to see in the other 2 films how this character will devolop, Richard Armitage plays thorin, Thorin Oakenshield is a Dwarf, an exiled king descended from ancient kings, whose people have been scattered across Middle-earth. His ancestors' greatest kingdoms were in Moria and under the Lonely Mountain, Erebor. Thorin leads an expedition of 13 dwarves and the hobbit Bilbo Baggins, with the aim of reclaiming the Lonely Mountain from the dragon known as Smaug,Now with this character you can see the anger towards the elfs & you can see why the dwarf hate the elfs in the first place in fellowship of the ring in this film.Ken Stott plays Balin, A Dwarf of Durin's Folk descended from King Náin II, and thus closely related to the royal house of the Longbeards. He had many adventures in his long life, beginning at the age of just thirty-six, when he fought in the Battle of Azanulbizar beneath the East-gate of Moria. It was in that battle that the young Balin's father Fundin was slain.he's character seem to be the wisist of the group but even ho he old he still got the warrior in him.Graham McTavish plays dwalin, A Dwarf descended from the royal line of Durin's Folk, the son of Fundin and brother to Balin. Both Dwalin and his brother were part of the company accompanying Bilbo to the Lonely Mountain, William Kircher has two parts in this film one voice acting & one live, he plays bifur one of the dwarf warriors & the voice of one of the giant Troll tom, James Nesbitt plays Bofur,Bofur joined Bilbo Baggins and Thorin Oakenshield on the quest to the Lonely Mountain in the Hobbit. He was a brother of Bombur's and Bifur was his cousin, Stephen Hunter plays Bombur, this character is pretty funny because all he thinks about is eatting it shows.Dean O'Gorman plays Fili, he seem to be a joker/ladys man but a dam good fighter,Aidan Turner plays Kili, Kili is one of the youngest Dwarves in the Company. He is always seen with his brother Fili. They are the nephews of Thorin. Both play the fiddle at the unexpected party at Bilbos home. They always are the persons sent out to explore while the Company is on their adventure. Both are fun-loving, love to eat and always are the persons to do any work for the Company if it is ever needed. They bravely fight in the battle of the five armies, trying to protect their uncle Thorin, John Callen plays Oin, one of the dwarf warriors that joined the group to destory the dragon, Peter Hambleton plays two parts as well ome voice the other live, he plays Gloin, One of the party of Dwarves that accompanied Thorin Oakenshield in his campaign to retake the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug. After the Battle of Five Armies he became a great leader among the Dwarves and was among the emissaries sent to the elf city of Rivendel to discuss the growing power of Sauron during the War of the Ring. His son, Gimli was among the nine members of the Fellowship of the Ring that was sent out to aid Frodo in his mission to bring the One Ring to Mount Doom where it could be destroyed & the voice of one of the giant troll William, Jed Brophy plays Nori, one of the group of dwarfs that join the jounrey to defeat the smaug, Mark Hadlow plays Dori other member of the dwarfs group to defeat smaug & the voice of the other troll Bert.Adam Brown plays Ori a young dwarf who join the group which seem to have alot of courge,Hugo Weaving (cameo) returns as Elrond, By the beginning of Frodo's journey, Elrond had lived in Middle-Earth for approximately 6,500 years. He is the immortal founder and master of Imladris (Rivendell), husband of Celebrian, father to Arwen, son-in-law to Galadriel, and brother of Elros (an ancient ancestor to Aragorn). Though he is called half-elven, he is descended in some form or another from all three of the great elven houses and even from the divine Maiar themselves. Because of the merits of his father, Earendil, all that follow in his bloodline may choose between mortality and eternity (which eventually leads to the undying lands in the west). The beautiful Cate Blanchett (cameo) return as Galadriel, Noldorin princess, the daughter of Finarfin. Galadriel was the only woman to play a prominent role in the debate of the Noldor following the theft of the Silmarils, and, eager to return to Middle-earth, she was one of the leaders of the host of Fingolfin. In Middle-earth she dwealt with Finrod on Tol Sirion, but when her brother moved to Nargothrond, she went to Doriath, where she married Celeborn and was instructed in wisdom by Melian. She had one child, Celebrian. At the fall of Doriath she probably fled to Arvernien or the Mouths of Sirion. Galadriel was the only leader of the revolting Noldor to survive the Wars of Beleriand, and at the end of the First Age a ban was set on her return to Valinor. There is something revieled in her character in this film, that she seems to have a higher power almost god like as she can appear some where & disapear without walking like astral travel to be somewhere at will, she has control over the giant eagles as well, Christopher Lee (cameo) returns as Saruman, Saruman was one of the 5 Istari sent to Middle-Earth to help guide the free peoples of Middle-Earth to victory against Sauron. Saruman usually wore white, and was appointed as head of the White Council. He was known as Curunir (the Cunning) by the elves, and his greatest power was his voice, which always sounded like the voice of reason to any weak-minded listeners. Saruman got entrenched in the mythology of the Rings of Power, and learned in the records of Minas Tirith that the Ring had fallen into the Anduin. He sought the power accorded with the ring. As he got caught up in his desire for power, he was ensnared by Sauron using the Palantir of Isengard. Saruman decided to betray his duties, and aid Sauron, though his real intentions were to take the ring for himself and overthrow Sauron, taking all the power for himself. He changed his robes at this point, and was known as Saruman of many colours.you see him in this film before the cruption takes over but when well have to see in the other 2 films. Andy Serkis (cameo) returns as Gollum still funny as ever but hes in more of a darker way inthis film, A character in The Return of the King, I am Gollum, a Stoor and the ancient ring bearer who had the One Ring before Bilbo and Frodo. Other names I am known as are: Trahald, Slinker and Stinker. Before he became Gollum he was formally known as Smeagol and he hailed origionally from near the Gladden Fields, Gollum is roughly 3ft 8inches tall, though it is hard to measure exactly. Tortured and wrought wretched by the lure of the One Ring, Gollum is a withered, piteous creature. Driven mad and twisted by his loss of the One Ring decades ago, he is compelled to haunt Middle-earth, searching everywhere for the only thing in the world he ever cared for, his precious. (the one ring to rule them all created by Sauron),Sylvester McCoy plays Radagast the brown one of the seven wizard,A member of the order of wizards specializing in animal lore. Commonly maintains relationships between the wizards and the various animal lords. As one of the five Istari Wizards sent to Middle-Earth by the Valar, Radagast was hand picked by Yavanna, the Valar who created all of the growing things in Middle-Earth, who strongly pressed Curunir (Saruman) to take Radagast as one of the five. Yavanna knew Radagast had a strong love of her creations of nature and wildlife, and that by sending him to Middle-Earth he would be drawn to look to and protect the things he had grown to love while in Aman, and not to fulfill his mission as one of the Istari, which was to stand against Sauron and to inspire Men, Elves, Dwarves and all free people of Middle-Earth for good. While in Middle-Earth, Radagast paid little notice for the doings and actions of the outside world, and would often dissapear into the forests and wilderness for long periods of time. While Radagast failed in his specifically appointed mission as an Istari, he did succeed in fulfilling Yavanna's subterfuge.Barry Humphries voice of the Great Goblin king In the hobbit, the great goblin is the king of the goblins under the misty mountains. He is killed by Gandalf in the original book, and the persecution by the goblins afterwards leads to Bilbo's encounter with Gollum. As the company continues their adventures, the goblins seek revenge for their fallen leader, and march to the lonely mountain with an army of goblins and wargs, originating the final battle in the story.Jeffrey Thomas plays Thror,Thror (aka Thrór) was a Dwarf-king of the House of Durin in JRR Tolkien's Middle-earth. Thror is the grandfather of Thorin Oakenshield. In the year 2770 of the Third Age of Middle-earth, Thror and his people were driven from their home of Erebor (Lonely Mountain) by the Dragon Smaug. Twenty years later, Thror attempted to return to the old Dwarf-kingdom of Khazad-dum (Moria), where he was slain by the Orc-king Azog.Michael Mizrahi plays Thrain, Thrain (aka Thráin II) is a Dwarf-king of the House of Durin in JRR Tolkien's Middle-earth. Thrain is the father of Thorin Oakenshield. In the year 2841 of the Third Age of Middle-earth, Thrain and a few companions attempted to return to Lonely Mountain to reclaim the treasure of his people from the Dragon Smaug. Instead, he was captured in 2845 by the Necromancer and imprisoned in the fortress of Dol Guldur. Thrain was discovered in the dungeons by the Wizard Gandalf the Grey; he gave Gandalf the key to the Side-door of Erebor before dying.Lee Pace (cameo) plays Thranduil, Thranduil first appears in The Hobbit as the Elvenking, when Bilbo and the Dwarves enter his realm in the northern part of Mirkwood. The Dwarves are captured by Thranduil's guards and locked in his dungeons when they refuse to divulge their intentions. The Dwarves were rescued by Bilbo, who had remained in hiding with his use of a magic ring of invisibility. After the death of the dragon Smaug, Thranduil along with people of Lake Town demanded a share of the treasure of Erebor. War with the Dwarves was averted by the arrival of a goblin/warg army and the ensuing battle. Thranduil was the father of Legolas, a supporting character in The Lord of the Rings. The gradually-established friendship between Legolas and the Dwarf Gimli, the son of Glóin of The Hobbit, helps to reconcile Thranduil's people and the Dwarves. The appendices to The Return of the King note that Thranduil withstood attacks by Sauron during northern battles of the War of the Ring, meeting with Celeborn and his people to together destroy Dol Guldur and cleanse Mirkwood of Sauron's taint of evil. Also, Legolas and the Silvan Elves later worked together with Gimli and the Dwarves to rebuild and improve Minas Tirith, capital city of Gondor, the realm of their mutual friend Aragorn. The last time Thranduil was mentioned was soon after Sauron's final defeat.Manu Bennett (cameo) plays the warg rider general Azog, Conan Stevens plays the other wargrider, John Rawls is the voice of Yazneg an evil orc master who rides a white warg, this character is visous in nature is hell bent on destorying the dwarf forever,Benedict Cumberbatch plays a very big part of lord of the ring the evil power Necromancer in the hobbit aka sauron spirit returns from the power of the ring, Originally a Maia of Aulë's people, Sauron was early corrupted by Melkor and became his most trusted lieutenant. His treason was not discovered for some time, however, nor was it discovered by any will other than his own. For in cunning, few if any, within the mortal realm were his match. Prior to his overt defection, he served as a spy of Melkor, through the destruction of Almaren until his open defection from the Blessed Realm of Valinor. Once wholly in the service of Melkor, he was known as Gorthaur the Cruel, a necromancer of terrible power. Able to perceive the mind of Melkor like no other, he was true to his master and sought not to advance himself while in his service. Such was the relationship, that Gorthaur had a share in all the malice and works of evil wrought by Melkor in those days, and he was named as chief lieutenant of Melkor, and made master of the newly delved fortress of Angband Originally a Maia of Aulë's people, Sauron was early corrupted by Melkor and became his most trusted lieutenant. His treason was not discovered for some time, however, nor was it discovered by any will other than his own. Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: The Man With The Iron Fists

Genre : Action martial arts , contains bloody violence, strong sexuality, language and brief drug use, score music with strong language (parents be advised this film is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18

Cert: 18 cert

Story: Making his debut as a big-screen director and leading man, RZA-alongside a stellar international cast led by Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu-tells the epic story of warriors, assassins and a lone outsider hero in nineteenth-century China who must unite to destroy the clan traitor who would destroy them all. Since his arrival in China's Jungle Village, the town's blacksmith (RZA) has been forced by radical tribal factions to create elaborate tools of destruction. When the clans' brewing war boils over, the stranger channels an ancient energy to transform himself into a human weapon. As he fights alongside iconic heroes and against soulless villains, one man must harness this power to become savior of his adopted people

Likes : This film wasn't to bad could of been better for what it was but the fight scenes & concept of the film was good. You could tell that this was a Quentin tarantino style film with RZA storyline with the blood & fighting in this film like so many other films he done there has been a lot of blood scenes used in he's films. The concept story was like an old Chinese martial arts film where a nation is govern by a empire & a town called judge town govern by sevial clans that seem to be at war with each other. Long with its good fight scene its not a bad film to watch, filmed in a beautiful way that bring the old style of martial arts into his movie. RZA plays the black smith aka the man with iron fists, he's acting skill is not bad from a singer to actor playing this role he plays a former slave set free that was raise by monks & taught the way of spiritual martial arts & the power of chi, once mastered a man can accomplish anything,he also has a love interest Lady Silk played by the beautiful Jamie Chung who plays this lady's of leisure in the purle house run by the Madam Blossom aka black widow played by the beautiful Lucy Liu i found her character to be very sexual & famine to pleasure the men that came to the house but if any one hurt the girls you would see a different side to her which you could see she was a fighter underneath.Rick Yune plays zen yi aka the blade, he character was on a revenge path for the death of his father at the hand of the Silver Lion played by Byron Mann who was very ruthless in the pursuit of gold,Daniel Wu plays an assissin poison dagger he's character you dont real see much of him or what he looks like until the end of the film but you could tell that he was an evil person. The other lion clan Cung Le played Bronze Lion , Kuan Tai Chen plays Gold Lion, Telly Liu plays Iron Lion & Yoyao Hsueh plays Copper Lion (as Xue Jing Yao). Chia Hui Liu plays Abbott (as Gordon Liu) who teaches rza character the way of chi, Russell Crowe plays jack kinfe seeing him in this role he has seriously put weight on,he was this big in gladiator but he character seem to be on a revenge trail for something but he a close general to the emperor who has this way with woman to pleasue 4 at the same time. Dave Bautista plays Brass Body a character that seem to have this supernatural abilaity to change he's body at will in to soild bass the fight scene with him & iron fist wasnt to bad at the end of the film. This film isnt to bad to watch but it could of been better.
Dislike: The the only way this film would of been a brilliant film if it was like a tourament type film, because this concept to the film should of been something like that, its a good effort by RZA but to me it really should of been a tourement fight storyline.

Overall : not bad to watch, had some good fights, very bloody violence & some good looking woman

Rating: 3.5 out 5 for entertainment / 7 out of 10 for fight scenes & concept theme

Gerry Barnabys Film Review: DeadFall

Genre : Crime Drama Thriller,   Contains strong violence , sex scenes & mild to strong language

Cert: 15+ cert

Story: Siblings Addison (Eric Bana) and Liza (Olivia Wilde) are on the run from a casino heist gone wrong. When a car accident leaves their wheel man and a state trooper dead, they split up and make a run for the Canadian border in the worst of circumstances - a near whiteout blizzard. While Addison heads cross-country, creating mayhem in his wake, Liza is picked up by ex-boxer Jay (Charlie Hunnam), en-route for a Thanksgiving homecoming with his parents, June (Sissy Spacek) and retired sheriff Chet (Kris Kristofferson). It's there the siblings are reunited in a terse and thrilling showdown that pushes the bonds of family to the limit

Likes : This film start off reseasonly good sets the character of pretty well & the story plot which was like a bonnie & Clyde feel to it.Eric Bana plays the brother Addison who character seem to have a itchy trigger finger that will kill anyone that gets in he's way,Eric Bana performance as a psychopath person was good he seem to pull off the character quiet well. The beautiful Olivia Wilde play he's sister Liza, her character seem to have a dark past with her father abuse which Addison put a stop to in the end & turned them both to a life of crime, but she seem to what to break the bond & have a peaceful life when she meets jay played by Charlie Hunnam (star of son of anarchy) a former heavy weight boxer who was jail for fixing a fight who got realised but gets caught up in the whole mess,he's character also seem to have a conflict between he father Chet played by Kris Kristofferson a former sheriff who likes to hunt in he spare time playing he wife June played by Sissy Spacek her character seem to be the piece keeper in the family, which show a very strong character. The beautiful Kate Mara plays the sheriff's daughter Hanna who is a duty of the police unit who loves her father but hate being put down because she a girl & the only woman in the unit, her character seem strong in character & has fond memories of jay when they were younger.Treat Williams (cameo) plays hannas father Sheff Becker who love he's daughter & dosent want her to get hurt i think its why you see him treat her different in this film to the other guys in the unit. Along with its fight scene & chase this film waste to bad to watch which comes to a bloody end.

Dislike: The fact it was a little slow the plot was good but it was over before it started, for what this film was it could of been a little better done. It was to short for a crime thriller.

Overall : Not a bad film to watch,a little slow & short but it a worth watching film for an afternoon film.

Rating: 3 out of 5 for plot-line & pace / 6 out of 10 for entertainment

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: Twilight Breaking dawn part 2

Genre: Romance Fantasy Adventure Drama, (WARNING) Cert is a 12a but this film dose contain strong violent horror fight scenes of people getting killed, mild sexual scenes that may be unsuitable for any one under the age of 15 to view.

Cert: BBFC 12A cert, i would say maybe a 15 or 18 cert for the concept of this film on the safe side.

Story: Bella is enjoying her new life and new powers, after the birth of their daughter, Renesmee. Soon, however, their family bliss is threatened again, by a new menace. Vampire Irina believes a child like Renesmee could challenge the power and existence of the Volturi. As Irina rallies the Volturi to destroy this potential threat, Bella and the Cullens - together with any allies they can assemble - are preparing to fight a crucial, ultimate battle, to protect their family.

Likes : I really had to hold back the tears with this film it really was a beautiful conclusion of part 2 of twilight's break dawn, it had its funny moment when Bella after walking up found out that Jacob Black had imprinted on renesmee that when the hurt came when he made thing worst by saying the wrong things in front of her, what was even more funny is the fact the Edward was laughing seeing hes new bride act like this,it was seriously funny.Good thing about this film is the funny banter & action but it concept of beauty as she see things in a different way as a vampire, i think the concept was beautifully filmed. It also has moments that make you cry because it was so emotional.i didn't think to be honest i would like twilight because it look like another teenage girl flick movie but its really grown on me & become one of my favorite films.I love the way Jacob protect renesmee with his life because there was a future there with her, did you also notice she wasn't real in place's she was C.G.I blended with a real actress which was really clever because because she look so real. You also notice with the volturi they were up to something from the start. The one thing i did notice was how beautiful Kristen Stewart looked as a vampire who plays Bella Swan the mother of renesmee, completely stunning in this new film, Robert Pattinson playing Edward her husband was over joyed to see her alive & doing the things she dose which really had its funny romantic moments, Taylor Lautner return as Jacob Black the werewolf clan who has imprinted on renesmee who he has a destiny with & protect her with he's own life, you notice between the three their friendship becomes a lot stronger over time but still have the odd banter between each other, returning as the Cullen's Peter Facinelli as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme Cullen, Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen, Kellan Lutz as Emmett Cullen, Jackson Rathbone plays the wise cracking vampire Jasper Hale, Billy Burke returns as Bella father Charlie Swan, which was kind of funny moment was with Jacob which i could of sworn he would of ran off. Mackenzie Foy played Bella beautiful daughter Renesmee who is half human & vampire part immortal who has power of her own. This film is really good to watch altho the cert given for the film again was the right cert for the film should of been higher because of the violent battle between them & the voluri there is no way it should of been a 12a.But this film is so worth watching.

Dislike: It dose have moments where it slows down but it dose prick up & the BBFC Cert should of been an 18cert not a 12a due to the violence

Overall : A Magical fantasy romantic film that hits the heart in so many ways, not to be missed.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 9 out of 10 for storyline & fight scenes.

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: The Sweeney

Genre : Action Crime Drama, contains strong language, medium sex scenes & strong violence

Story: A hardened detective in the Flying Squad of London's Metropolitan police. Based on the '70s UK TV show Sometimes you have to act like a criminal to catch a criminal. Ray Winstone (The Departed) and Ben Drew (Plan B) star as part of an elite police unit in explosive action film, THE SWEENEY. Also starring Damian Lewis (Homeland) and Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger).

Likes : i didn't think i would like this film at first, but i decide to watch to to see what it was like , its pretty good, it has that lock stock feel to it but with a more darker underground London gritty theme to it. I was never much into the TV series of the Sweeney but the film version is so much better,i really do think they should use the cast of the film to do a new series of the Sweeney because these actors in this film were good.Ray Winstone plays Jack Regan a hard nose London cop that dosent take crap of anyone, his character was someone you really don't want to get on the wrong side of, Damian Lewis (homeland & dream catcher) plays the Sergeant on the squad Frank Haskins who struggles to keep the squad going because of their methods of doing things to bring down the criminals, Ben Drew (lend singer of plan B) plays George Carter a young recurit to the squad that soon hardens up to the job with his mentor jack, Alan Ford (cameo) plays jack informer Harry that tips him off of any criminal planing to robbery, Kara Tointon (cameo)(eastenders star) plays the girlfriend George Megan,Caroline Chikezie (cameo) plays Clarke squad member, Steven Mackintosh plays Ivan Lewis, this character seem like the type of person you just want to hit in the face,he's one of those people that are stiff dosent have a laugh type your see what i mean if you watch this film. Playing he's wife is the very beautiful & sexy (star of captain America) Hayley Atwell who play as part of the Sweeney squad Nancy who has a thing for jack.playing the criminal's Paul Anderson as Allen ex military type turn criminal, Ed Skrein plays he mate.along with it car chase, fight scenes, good banter this film isn't to bad to watch.normal with british made films there not normally that good but this one really is surprisingly good,it has the violence, the funny moment car chases you want in a drama action film.

Dislike: it was a little over the top sometime with the strong language but not a bad film

Overall : Not a bad film, if you like lock-stock films or layer cake this film is for you.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 for enetertainment / 7.5 out of 10 for action/ theme

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: The Apparition

Genre : Paranormal Horror Thriller, Contains strong intense paranormal scenes.

Cert: 18 cert

Story: When frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly (Ashley Greene) and Ben (Sebastian Stan) discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is an expert in the supernatural, Patrick (Tom Felton), but even with his help they may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force

Likes : I'm going on record & saying that all the reviews Ive seen about this film say its a bad film & it not worth watch are completely wrong about this film,Ive seen all the reviews on rotten tomato it seem they always put a film down, so im going on record & saying this film isn't as bad as they make it out to be. This film really dose have it moments the generally have a intense frighting feel about it, the whole concept of this film where four students doing an experiment unwittingly open a door that shouldn't be opened & brought forth a evil force that wants to live is frighting. Ashley Greene plays the girlfriend who get caught up in the whole mess, Sebastian Stan plays the boyfriend who former girlfriend died in the experiment. Tom Felton play the tech paranormal expert who tries to trap the this evil force. Julianna Guill (cameo) plays the former girlfriend Lydia, Luke Pasqualino (cameo) plays Greg,Rick Gomez plays the father next door Mike with he little daughter Maggie played by Anna Clark (cameo) & Marti Matulis play the evil unseen force. The good thing about this film is it start off with a good start, then you think everything is OK as they move to the house a year later, then when all this freak stuff starts happen it really draws you in to an intense moment of fear, you start thinking what the hell is going on,as things start to get more intense this film throws you into a weird mind trip as the apparition is playing with their mind in order to take their soul so it can live in their world. This film is seriously intense & frighting in place's that make you want to hide behind the sofa.It set a tone for the film that some door should be left alone & some door should never be opened. purgatory is no joke there are more that just ghosts & demons there, there are things that are beyond evil what i mean is pure dark.the concept of this film set that tone as things start to get worst for the couple in the house.the ending will really freak you out & shock you.

Dislike: Just a little slow in places, but apart from that this film was good.

Overall : if you looking for a film that will freak you out & play with your mind this is one to watch atmospheric & dark tone that will leave you sleepless all night.

Rating: 4 out of 5 for entertainment / 8 out of 10 for chill's & intense frighting scene's

Michael Bay Re-Teams With His ‘Pain & Gain’ Star Mark Wahlberg for Transformers 4

A new logo for Michael Bay‘s Transformers 4 has hit, which can be seen above. I would describe it as functional rather than spectacular, but it does manage to combine the Transformers symbol and the number four, so it seems to work. If they are really smart they could call the movie Trans4ormers. See what I did there?
In other Autobot-inspired news, Mark Wahlberg has now been confirmed to star in the fourth installment of this successful franchise. Marky Mark roll out! Bay released this statement on his official website:

Mark [Wahlberg] is awesome. We had a blast working on “Pain and Gain” and I’m so fired up to be back working with him. An actor of his caliber is the perfect guy to re-invigorate the franchise and carry on the Transformers’ legacy.
Getting Wahlberg on board is a real coup for the robo-franchise, especially considering the charisma vacuum that is Shia Labeouf is reportedly wanting $18 million (seriously!) to return.
Filming on the movie is set to start in early spring, with a release date of June 27, 2014 penciled in. If you can’t wait that long to see Marky Mark and some Bayhem-style shit-blowing-up-at-sunset, then body-building action-comedy Pain and Gain hits theaters April 26, 2013.

HOLLYWOOD, CA (November 8, 2012) – After an exceptionally successful collaboration on the upcoming "Pain and Gain," Michael Bay has cast Academy Award®-nominee Mark Wahlberg in the highly anticipated “TRANSFORMERS 4.” The film will hit theaters June 27th, 2014.

"Mark is awesome. We had a blast working on “Pain and Gain” and I’m so fired up to be back working with him. An actor of his caliber is the perfect guy to re-invigorate the franchise and carry on the Transformers’ legacy,” said Bay.

Bay will direct the next installment in the “TRANSFORMERS” series, which begins shooting next spring. From Paramount Pictures, a division of Viacom, Inc., in association with Hasbro, the film will be produced by Don Murphy & Tom DeSanto, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Ian Bryce, and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Bay, Brian Goldner and Mark Vahradian.

Bay's first “TRANSFORMERS” film was a box office sensation in 2007, opening at #1 and earning more than $700 million worldwide. His second installment “TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN” in 2009 grossed more than $830 million worldwide. In 2011, “TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON” was an even bigger hit worldwide, grossing more than a billion dollars to become the 5th highest grossing film of all time. To date, the franchise has earned more than $2.6 billion worldwide.

From acclaimed director Michael Bay comes "Pain and Gain," a new action comedy starring Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson and Anthony Mackie. Based on the unbelievable true story of three personal trainers in 1990s Miami who, in pursuit of the American Dream, get caught up in a criminal enterprise that goes horribly wrong. Ed Harris, Tony Shalhoub, Rob Corddry, Rebel Wilson and Bar Paly also star. The film is based on magazine articles by Pete Collins, with a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and produced by Donald DeLine, Michael Bay and Ian Bryce.

“PAIN AND GAIN” opens in theaters everywhere April 26th, 2013.

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: Brave

Genre : Animation Action Adventure, contains funny & emotional adventure for all the family

Cert: PG cert

Story: Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane). Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late

Likes : Normally animated films don't make me cry but this film was a really emotional film to watch as a mother & daughters bond is in the balance has her mother has tun into a bear they only have until sun rise before she remains a bear for the rest of her life. This bold between her mother gives the audience a emotional journey of laughter & crying. It was brilliant to watch this film because it wasn't just a kids film it was a family movie were the whole family will enjoy watching.Billy Connolly is the voice of king Fergus, Emma Thompson voice of Queen Elinor who has been turned in to a bear,Kevin McKidd voice of Lord MacGuffin, Robbie Coltrane voice of cantankerous Lord Dingwall, Craig Ferguson voice of Macintosh, Julie Walters voice of the eccentric old Witch.Kelly MacDonald voice of the young daughter Merida a bit of a wild child at heart but to her own foolishness her mother is turned to a bear.I love the storyline to this film it tell that destiny & fate are in all of us & the choice you make effect the your future.you will laugh & cry to this film it has it all along with the danger of a past bother of a kingdom who secret is revealed. Not a lot of animated film impress me but this one really hits the heart, it such a brilliant tale of a mother & daughter bond as they both realize they must change there own future to make a better life.if you ever get the chance watch this film because you wont regret it, it such a beautifully made film by Mark Andrews, Brenda Chapman, Steve Purcell & Irene Mecchi. Along with its celtic music it really set the mood for this film quite well.

Dislike: Nothing wrong with this film

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 10 out of 10 for storyline & adventure

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: Silent Hill : Revelation 3D

Genre : Horror Mystery Thriller, contains strong violent twisted horror & extreme bloody gory scenes

Cert: BBFC Rate 15 cert - i would say 18 cert

Story: In Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father (Bean) have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand. On the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.

Likes : This sequel wasn't to bad, i love the fact that the storyline went into more depth with the character of Sharon more than the first one did now all grown up & change her name to heather to protect her from whats after her played by Adelaide Clemens .Now i found her performance in this film spot on you could see the fear in her eyes & she fought for courage to once again step into the demonic world of silent hill once again to get her father back play by Sean Bean fantastic actor who get taken to silent hill for some dark purpose.Carrie-Anne Moss play Claudia Wolf a priestess that want to bring a god forth to destroy Alessa the demon, but there is something not right about her when you first see her she hiding something is got this sinister side to her.(Cameo rolls) Malcolm McDowelle plays the grandfather Leonard of Vincent who played by Kit Harington who seemly falls for heather & tries to help her.Rachel Sellan plays a victim on the table that turn into a Mannequin Girl,Jefferson Brown plays Detective Santini & Milton Barnes plays Detective Cable,Heather Marks plays the trap girl Suki who got lost in the fog of silent hill, Roberto Campanella play the red Pyramid head. This film along with it concept of a demonic world set a tone & darkness & evil, we see a new array of weird creature including this weird Mannequin spider creature which was serious screwed up.With dark concept i wouldn't say it was scary it was more intense edge of your seat moment specially with the screw up nurse that only move when there is sound, but ya this film is worth watching because it wasn't a bad film at all.i love the concept of silent hill it not like resident evil were it just zombie & virus, it a world based on dreams that arent dreams but world on top of each other in different realities like a twist torture nightmare world & demonic world full of demonic creature or spirits hell bend on destroy the world it the creepiness of silent hill that sets this story above all horror nightmare stories out that has different layer where mystery & danger lurks around every corner you notice that the storyline is focus mainly around heather on who she really is.

Dislike: The only things i could say is the fact it was over before it started it was a little short in storyline it lacked that wow factor like the first film did & its jumpiness like the first film had altho it did give more detail to the girl & who she is, it was slightly slow in place's as well.

Overall : A worth watching film for the back ground story of the little girl to the truth of who she is, some good gory sense & nightmare creature.but dose lack the wow factor as the storyline was a little two short.

Rating: 4 out of 5 for horror/ 9 out of 10 for concept & find the truth about the girl.

Movie News : Disney has brought the right's to make another 3 starwars films

Now is everyone thinking what i'm thinking........over kill of a saga?  it has been confirmed that Disney have brought the rights to make another 3 films following after the return of the Jedi starring Luke sky-walker, Leia & Han solo. Now seriously Harrison ford is in his 70s i cant see him return to play this role there is no way in hell can they replace him with another actor, Carrie fisher must be in her 50s now pushing 60, same with mark Hamill he must be push 60 now.I personally think Disney are going to ruin one of the best films in history by over killing a saga making 3 more films,im shore a lot of people would agree with me & some wouldn't but i don't think another 3 films should be made because its over kill even tho im a star-wars fan myself, that's just my opinion.

Disney is buying Lucas film, the company behind the Star Wars films, from its chairman and founder George Lucas for $4.05bn (£2.5bn).

Mr Lucas said: "It's now time for me to pass Star Wars on to a new generation of film-makers."

In a statement announcing the purchase, Disney said it planned to release a new Star Wars film, episode seven, in 2015.

That will be followed by episodes eight and nine and then one new movie every two or three years, the company said.

The last Star Wars film was 2005's Revenge of the Sith, and Disney said it believed there was "substantial pent-up demand".

George Lucas launched Lucas film in 1971 and the first Star Wars film was released in 1977.

"For the past 35 years, one of my greatest pleasures has been to see Star Wars passed from one generation to the next," Mr Lucas said.

"I've always believed that Star Wars could live beyond me, and I thought it was important to set up the transition during my lifetime."

Mr Lucas will continue as a creative consultant.

Kathleen Kennedy, currently co-chairman of Lucas film, will become president of the firm and will be the executive producer on the new Star Wars films.

She worked on the Jurassic Park and Back to the Future franchises and co-founded Amblin Entertainment with Steven Spielberg.

When the later Star Wars films were released in the 1990s and 2000s, although they did well at the box office, they were generally not well-received by fans.

But Josh Dickey, film editor at Variety magazine in LA, said that Disney was a "great fit" to update Star Wars.

"They're so good at branding and brands. They're so good at working with existing intellectual property and making it resonate with fans and marketing it very well," he told BBC World Service radio.

"They're not as good at creating original content, except for their Pixar division.

"I think if you bring together the minds from Pixar [and] the minds from Disney, the news that Disney is going to reboot Star Wars was a lot more exciting to fans than just 'there's gonna be another Star Wars'

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: James Bond: Skyfall

Genre : Action Adventure Crime, NOTE :BBFC has given this a 12A (parents be advised that this film dose contain strong violence, mild sex scene & people being killed.)

Cert: BBFC rate 12A - This should be a 15 cert

Story: In Sky fall, Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

Likes : Now i found this film a little better than the last one, with this James bond you find out a little of bonds past as its a cat & mouse chase to take down an old mi6 agent.Along with some good moments & good banter which was funny it set a sense of humour & action which was in fact quiet balanced well in this instalment of James bond.I still think Daniel Craig is the best bond since sir Sean connery,he has that cold ruthless but funny loving side to him, with this film daniel craig brought this film back to it best like the first film but with a really emotional ending.Judi Dench returns as m who life is in danger from her older 00 agent Raoul Silva played by Javier Bardem who character seems to want revenge against mi6 & m for leaving me to die. Ben Whishaw play a younger Q with a witty humour as he banters with bond.Ralph Fiennes plays a MI6 mister Gareth Mallory who character seem to have a hinden talent in the field. Bérénice Marlohe plays Sévérine a beautiful woman that got caught up on with the wrong people which set her fate in motion.Naomie Harris plays Eve her character dosent seem right for the field but she dose become a famous character in the bond film which i wont say because it will ruin the film.Albert Finney play the game keeper Kincade who was a family friend to bond.Ola Rapace play patrice who at the begn of the film bond is chasing.Along with some good action scene, fighting & some C.G.I with the komodo dragons this wasnt a bad film for a bond film altho it did lack some action.but i would say this is a worth watching film, as it is better than the second film & an old classic bond car makes apperance as well in this film so keep an eye out for it.

Dislike: Slighty a little slow,it did lack action altho there was some action.

Overall : A worth watching film, fight scene were good & good funny banter.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 for storyline/ 8 out of 10 for action & theme.

Top 10 Movie Moments Of 2012

Here we are, in october of 2012. nine months have gone and we still have two months ahead of us. So, where does that leave us in terms of movies? Well, admittedly, the first half of the year is always pretty slow. We’ve seen quite a variety of films over the past nine months and while not all of them brought something exciting and unique to the table, a fair amount of them definitely had their moments, moments that made the price of admission worth it and moments that make you happy to be a moviegoer.
On that note, I present to you the Top Ten Movie Moments of 2012  They are arranged in no particular order, but remember that these are the top movie moments, not movies.

Please note that there are spoilers for each particular film in this blog.

1.The Cabin In The Woods
There’s a lot to like and appreciate about Drew Goddard‘s new horror film The Cabin In The Woods. From its tongue in cheek humor to its over the top madness, the film is entertaining on many counts. Hands down though, the best scene in the film, and one of the best movie scenes of 2012, has to be what I call the “monster extravanganza.”
There’s a point in the film where Marty and Dana are riding down an elevator into an underground facility. On the way down, they pass by hundreds of glass cases all housing different types of monsters. In fact, they pass by just about every type of horror icon/monster imaginable. Once they exit the elevator, they are cornered by a security team and to escape, they decide to release all of the creatures from their glass cases.
What ensues is absolute mayhem, as vampires, witches, demons, mutants, werewolves, unicorns, mermen, goblins, giant snakes, mummies and more descend upon the facility, decimating anything in sight. It’s as hilarious as it is horrific and it is simply a blast to watch for some but personally was the worst film ever.

2.The Engineer Awakens In Prometheus
Prometheus had a number of awe-inspiring moments. Visually, it was magnificent and on a storytelling level, it completely captivated me. Though there were many contenders for best moment of the film, the one I settled on was when the Engineer awakens near the end.
For one, the amount of build up and anticipation to this moment is almost unbearable, so when the towering behemoth finally stands up and comes to life, we’re pinned to our seats. The fact that he proceeds to absolutely shred David and the rest of the crew to pieces only makes this moment that much more electrifying, shocking and terrifying.
We truly feel the Engineer’s fury and anger as he decapitates David and goes on to take care of the rest of Weyland’s gang. To see this creature in action, ripping through Weyland’s crew with ease, is truly a sight to behold.

3.Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Assemble In The Avengers
Admittedly, most of Joss Whedons The Avengers can be classified as spectacle. The film had a ton of “wow” moments and that we owe lot to marvel . That being said, one of the standouts, for me at least, was at the very end, when our mightiest heroes come together, or assemble, if you will, to make one last stand in hopes of saving New York with the camera circling around them..
The final assault, when played out in 3D on an IMAX screen, is nothing shot of awe inspiring. Though it could have used a couple more edits as it does run a bit long, from beginning to end it’s a non stop rollercoaster ride that shoves us right into the middle of the mayhem. Featuring some of the best effects and destruction…well, ever, the battle for New York City is truly a triumphant sequence and one that really defines the term “Hollywood blockbuster.”
When you couple all that with the fact that we get to see our favorite heroes all assembled in unity fighting a common enemy, you get a truly “great” movie moment. One that makes you want to stand up and cheer. All tho Disney change one bit on Th DVD version which to be honest was completely stupid in the name of kids watching it, there was far more violent scene's in this film then seeing a agent begin stabbed in the back with a spear by Loki.

4.The Ship Splits In Half In Titanic
Watching that ship split in half was breathtaking the first time around, but in 3D? Well, that’s a whole different story.
Honestly, Titanic is just as effective as it was back in 1997. The sinking of the behemoth that is the Titanic is a harrowing scene and it’s brought to life in a whole new way with the use of that third dimension, which Mr. Cameron so effortlessly inserts into his 90′s classic.
Though many are probably overly-familiar with the above mentioned scene, it had been some time since I’d seen it. Watching it in the theatre, and in 3D, all these years later, was really something special. To know that Cameron crafted such a large scale, complex and effects laden sequence almost 15 years ago, really puts things into perspective. For a film scene from 1997, this is some really impressive stuff. But then again, it’s James Cameron; did you expect anything less than impressive?
Whether you watched it 15 years ago or mere months ago in theatres, the sinking of the Titanic, especially the moment where it splits in half and the events that immediately precede, make for some incredibly entertaining, powerful and epic movie moments

5.White Apes Meet Their Match In John Carter
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be the first one to admit that John Carter had its fair share of problems, many problems actually. But that doesn’t mean that there weren’t a few triumphant moments sprinkled throughout. One scene in particular that I enjoyed quite a bit, especially in 3D, was the scene of John vs. the white apes.
Both the effects and use of 3D upped the ante in this scene and provided for a very thrilling couple of minutes. Though most of the film is marred with severe issues, it does have several entertaining moments and this is definitely one of them.
Seeing our protagonist go up against these mammoth creatures, and then swiftly deal out death to them, is another great example of what it means to watch a true, big budget, Hollywood blockbuster.

6.Any Fight From The Raid: Redemption
The action genre has gone down the route of generic and stale as of late, which is why it’s so gosh darn refreshing to see a film like The Raid: Redemption. The Indonesian film that took the film world by storm was director Gareth Evans‘ showcase of the traditional martial art Pencak Silat and is both exhilarating and thrilling.
It’s truly hard to pick just one kill or fight from this film, as almost all of them can best anything seen from Hollywood from at least the past five or ten years. The fighting here is so well choreographed and so expertly executed that it’s literally impossible to take your eyes off the screen for even a second.
The fight pictured above, between Rama, Andi and Mad Dog, is probably the highlight of the film but like I said, the furious, fast-paced fighting is a marvel to behold in a film that truly feels refreshing and dare I say it, re-defining

7.Finding Out Tom Cruise Can Sing In Rock Of Ages
Though he may be “wanted dead or alive” by Katie Holmes‘ lawyers, Mr. Tom Cruise is most certainly singing those words to a different tune in Adam Shankman‘s Rock Of Ages.
The usual action star, sometimes dramatic actor, showed that he actually has the pipes to pull off rock star, as he fully embodies the personality of Stacee Jaxx. Though skeptical at first, I thought Cruise absolutely nailed the role. His pipes were pleasing on the ear and his rock star persona could easily have many an audience member fooled that he actually fronted a band at some point in his life.
While stunts and lavish set pieces may be his forte, Cruise reached new heights with Stacee Jaxx, giving us not only the best part of an otherwise crummy film, but a wildly entertaining and enjoyable performance.
Each time he belted out a tune, it was music to my ears. His rendition of Dead or Alive is easily the highlight and watching one of Hollywood’s biggest stars take on such a role, and succeed like he did, makes for another, immensely satisfying movie moment. Proof below that tom cruise can sing & is singing in rock of ages

8. Dredd throwing Caleb over the side
Now i found this scene to be the best scene to portray dredd as have no conscience,no messig around what so ever & no remorse to throwing anyone over the side. It the moment after ma ma & her men with Gatling guns shot the hell out of the place, her right hand man goes in with a few men, you here a couple of shot then you see dredd drag Caleb kick & scream held by his neck from the smoke & throws him over the side, it just the look on ma ma face that say it all as she watch dredd just walk back into the smoke like it was nothing, it the look on her face who the hell have a f**ked with. That to me was a moment in the film you think to your self sitting in the cinema, ma ma you've just picked a fight with the wrong person.

9.Is That Johnny Depp In 21 Jump Street?
Sure, we all knew Johnny Depp would have a cameo in 21 Jump Street, but did anyone know which character he was until it was revealed at the end?
Going into the film I knew that Depp had a small role, but right up until the end I was puzzled and confused, I couldn’t figure out when, where, or how he would show up. When the reveal finally came, it was a shock not only to me, but to most of the audience members in my theatre.
21 Jump Street was throughly enjoyable and still stands as my favorite comedy of the year, hands down. There were truly a ton of very funny and laugh out loud moments, but for me, the highlight was the reveal of Johnny Depp, who I had been searching for the whole film. Little did I realize, we had already seen him multiple times in earlier scenes, we just didn’t realize it. Or at least I didn’t.
Depp isn’t the only surprise happening here though, we also realize that two of the bikers are actually undercover cops. It’s a scene full of surprises and the fact that Depp plays the part to perfection, before going down in a blaze of glory, makes it even more enjoyable.

10.Man vs. Wolf In The Grey
There’s something incredibly enticing about watching Liam Neeson kick ass. I’m not sure what it is, but the actor, even in his old age, seems to be very adept at it. So adept in fact that this year, he decided to take on one of mother nature’s most ferocious creatures: wolves. While watching Neeson take on cardboard cut-out baddies is a ton of fun, watching the man take on a wolf is something else entirely.
Though the scene that I’m referring to, the one near the end, fades to black before we see the outcome, it’s deeply chilling and immensely satisfying. It’s almost poetic in the way director Joe Carnahan frames it. The chills running through our spine as the wolf pack surrounds Neeson feel just as cold as the snow on the actor’s forehead. As he prepares to say goodbye to the world, and he accepts his fate, the haunting piano chords playing in the background envelop us in the scene, causing total immersion.
Man stares at the wolf, wolf stares back at man. “Once more into the fray, into the last good fight I’ll ever know. Live and die on this day. Live and die on this day,” whispers Neeson, before charging head on into battle. The other good thing about this scene is at the end of the credits you see both the wolf & nesson lying on the floor half dead, but you can see the wolf breathing heavy like it was badly wounded or dieing but it leaves you wondering is nesson character still alive?
