The difference between horror genre's & why you probaley dont find horror's scary

What's the Difference between Psychological horror & gore horror ?

well this is a proven fact that psychological horror film's are the most frightening horror film in the horror genre, like one miss call, shutter island, when a stranger calls etc are all design to get into your mind & your darkest fears & scare the living hell of you.

Gore horror like Hellraiser , The hill's have eye's, wrong turn, etc are design to shock not scare you with some being cut open or someone being torn apart where there is alot blood every where....

Now a lot of people say they haven't seen a horror film to truly scare them or shock them, ya there are a few horror films that aren't believable it does help to scare when a horror concept could happen to you & is believeable, but 9 out of 10 people this is a fact that some people don't relax watching a film their iver doing something while watching the film or talking this is why your not going to find a film shocking or scary because your mind is occupied on something esle.

Now if you relaxed & let yourself be drawn in to the film's concept/storyline special with a psychological horror it will in fact scare the live crap out of you why because your mind is fixed on one thing the story & the dark concept of the film itself.
what you don't notice is because you are relax watch that horror your mind is kicking in the fear motor in your brain which is why we jump or get cold chills down the spine when you see something that is seriously frightening. But this is the difference between the two horror genre & the reason why you probably don't find thing scary

Gerry Barnaby's film Review : Fly Boys

Genre:  Action/Adventure/Drama/History/Romance/War, This film does contain death scene that may disturb the younger viewer (viewer discretion is advised)

Cert: 12A Cert

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: Scene in a brothel. A man grabs a woman's buttocks.
Brief kissing. No nudity or fondling.
Violence & Gore: Wartime violence. Some innocent people being shot. Blood splatter from gunshots in aerial battles. Man has his hand removed by a shovel (shot cuts away after impact). A character is shot in the eye, chest, and neck.

profanity: D_mn word, other assorted language.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking:Drinking in a bar scene. One man encouraged to drink despite protesting that he does not drink.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  Hero has to cut off his colleague's hand though the actual cutting is briefly shown (the shot changes after impact) one can imagine the act. He is saving his colleagues life. A pilot is shot in cold blood by an enemy pilot. This act serves as a revenge theme later in the movie

Story: Before the United States entered World War I, young Americans went to France to be fighter pilots, joining the Lafayette Escadrille. This fictional version follows a laconic Texas rancher, an eager Nebraska kid, a Black boxer already in France, and a New York swell, as they arrive green for training, get their baptism by fire when German planes ambush them on their first mission, and graduate to heroics. Rawlings, the Texan, falls in love with a young woman he meets at a bordello. Keeping their eyes on them are Captain Thenault and Cassidy, the resident ace, who keeps a pet lion. Can the boys measure up?

Likes : This film is beautiful made with stunning visual effect of real stunt pilot's & special effect that you can't tell which is real & what is C.G.I, it's brilliant done on a budget of Budget:$60,000,000.What makes this film brilliant as well is the fact it based on real history, in 1917 before the America join the 1st world war an elite fighter pilot fought the sky in by planes which as we all know was the era of the red baron & the black falcon two of Germany's top gun pilot's of the era.
During 1917 the French hire whoever they could to fly planes to help protect French's sky's from the German army & a lot of the pilot were British to American guy that bravely trained to fly planes in dog fights to defend a country that weren't their own but did it for the honour.
Watching this film it take you on a nail biting adventure. as a group of pilot try to be the best fighter they can but through a dangerous time as parachutes weren't invented back then they were given a gun to basical shot himself in the head if there plane catches on fire or the plane goes down.
Ya I know hasses right but it was iver that or go down with the plane. The love story ultimately goes nowhere, either, though James Franco and Jennifer Decker both turn in moving performances in this film to bring a light romance side to the story, the story tell the tale of a decadent, sophisticated flyboy of the Lafayette Escadrille who through most parts brings good action scene as they try to shut down the German planes.
The film does not shy away from the ugly aspects of combat nor does it ignore the seamier aspects of the non-flying life although that is nowhere near becoming graphic. The history has been treated accurately - and yes there was really a black pilot as portrayed in the film.
I have seen a number of histories and autobiographical accounts of the African American pilot's  being portrayed as naive & idealistic. That's just the age they lived in - don't judge the characterizations by todays standards because some of the best pilots today are African American most of the wars followed in the sky's brave pilot fought for there country weather they were black or white.
This film is one of the most inspirational film your ever watch with aerial combat scenes & stunning effect to a brilliant all cast performance this is one film that is worth watching.

Dislikes : I think the love story could've been a little better to give the ending that romantic feel side to the film but it didn't really need in a way.

Overall : Brilliant aerial combat scene, romantic on some level, Really good film.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 for entertainment/ 8.1 out of 10 for storyline & real history background

Likes : This is not bad for the Budget $3,000,000 director Anthony Leonardi III along with guitar player slash & writer Jonathan W.C. Mills have really done well to bring what is a very creepy & frightening film to our screen's
It started off slow at the beginning with the family moving to a small country town you notice very quickly that there is something wrong with this town but the story dosen't reveal to much of it's self to quickly which is good because it draw you in to find out what is going on behind the scenes of the town. This dose have a few creepy moments at the start of this film, as it gets further into this film you start to see what the town people are up to & the horror seriously kicks in.
This is where it starts getting creepy & evil in a concept of the film haunting of Emily rose feel to it but in a more evil & twist darker way.it really dose take your fear of the dark & throws it in your face special with the special effects, it done in such a way to really max the chilling dark twist concept of horror & push in further to make it creepy & dark. This is one film that is worth watching, to some this mite not seem frightening but still entertaining for some this mite seem frightening so it wont be a film for everyone, but it still a good film to watch.

Dislikes : The ending I through could of been a bit better there was any closure but I guess that's what the film intended to be as an on going event in the village.

Overall : Good scary moment, Creepy as hell in some parts, not a bad film.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 for entertainment / 6.2 out of 10 for horror concept

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  none

Story: Donner Pass has a well-known and macabre history - the place where George Donner and his party got stuck in the winter of 1846 and were forced to resort to cannibalism to keep from starving. But what if it wasn't just history?

Likes : First thing I will say is this film dose have that Blair witch, Norman bates cabin fever feel to it, it not a bad effort in horror film make but its not as good Iver, this film dose have its moments its a fair effort in acting with some history which is incorrect, but it a watchable film.

Dislikes : Ya as I said this film isn't good iver, don't let the poster fool you into think that this is a great horror film because it far from it, the fact its history was wrong the lack of scary moments makes this film a very dull horror, it dose have the odd gore moments with blood but it seriously lack in the chill factor that make a horror a horror, this is one film I wouldnt be excited about watching because its pretty poor for a horror with the budget it got, it could of been a little better.

Overall : Depend on if you like low budget films, hardly any scares or creepy moments.

Gerry Barnaby's film Review: Runner Runner

Cert: 15 cert

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: one sex scene

When the FBI tries to coerce Richie to help bring down Block, Richie faces his biggest gamble ever: attempting to outmaneuver the two forces closing in on him

Likes : This is your typical average thriller which to be honest I wouldn't be in a rush to get out to watch but is still worth watching. It take you into the life of a physics student who is struggling to pay he bill's for his university course that get himself involved in the dark gritty world of corrupt gamble ring's, party's & beautiful woman living the high life in a dangerous way.
Ben Affleck tries to pull off this dangerous corrupt gamble ring businessman which he does pretty well in his own way as an actor but he just comes across a little too tame for a mafia type boss. Justin Timberlake once again show just how much of a good actor he is as well as a singer as he pulls this performance as a student struggle to make money who gets pulled in to this darker side of the gambling world. Gemma Arterton yet again bring an outstanding performance as ben aflecks character Ivan Block's right hand woman who falls for Richie Furst (Justin) after seeing what's going on with ivan, she serious looks sexy & beautiful in this film as always.
This film dose have it's moments when it get a little exciting but its not as fast paced as most thriller are but it set with a tone that really dose show a dark gritty world of corrupt gambling & gamble ring's where anyone with power & money can buy off anyone or find a way to control you. Like I said its worth watching but I wouldn't be to excite to rush out to see it as its just an average thriller.

Dislikes : Just the fact it gets a little slow through most of the film.

Overall : A good look into the corrupt world of gamble, average thriller not a bad film.

Rating: 3.6 out of 5 for entertainment / 6.0 out of 10 for storyline

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity:Two women kissing young woman getting undress for video call. young woman in a wheelchair in a nighty

Violence & Gore: There is a graphic scene involving a car crash. few scenes of killing throughout the film. Lot of blood is shown

Profanity: a lot of the f words, &c words used

Frightening/Intense Scenesthe concept of chucky is a lot darker in this film, these scene with be disturbing for younger viewers

Story: After the events of Seed of Chucky, Nica, a young woman forced to a wheelchair since birth, has to regroup her sister, Barb and her brother-in-law, Ian for a funeral after the death of her mother. While dealing with Barb, Ian, along with their 5-year-old daughter, Alice; Nica receives an odd package - a creepy doll. After people start showing up dead, the fearless Nica soon suspects that the creepy doll is much more than just a doll

Likes : ( First thing first this is not a reboot or remake this is chucky 6 ) Ok i've just watch this film not bad, they kind of made chucky a lot darker in this one he less of the mucking around & straight to killing people but this one has a twisted in the storyline as he's there for a reason its something to do with the past.
If your a chucky fan your love this film as it has the same old chunky feel to it just without the jokes, it like its gone back to how the first child play film was which work's for the film.
The ending has a twist as well if you watch this film you have to watch after the credits roll as there is a bit at the end of the credits that will make you laugh.
As a horror fan these film were good in the 80s & 90s, i'm glad to see they took the concept back to when it was creepy & a little scary I think this is what most fan have been waiting for. Mine you there will be people that will hate this film but it just depends on how to look at this film, but it not a bad film. I did laugh at the ending because I didn't see it coming I think that was a classic way to end a film special with chucky so your have to watch after the credit to see that.

Dislikes : I think its a little overkill to do 6 film's but it was ok.

Overall : Just like the first child play film, not bad on concept, good back story revealing history

Rating: 4.3 out of 5 for entertainment / 8.7 out of 10 for going back to the first film concept of being dark.

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: Dante Inferno (Animated film)

Genre:  Animation Action Fantasy, warning this is an adult animation, this film dose contain strong bloody violence throughout, nudity and some sexual content

Cert: 18 cert only (R rated)

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: you see a woman's clothes torn to pieces and you see her boob hanging out it is very clear. There is a scene you see a male and female in a field nude. You see a giant female topless battling Dante it is also very clear. You can see people nude in hell but a lot of them are burnt up or covered by fire.

Violence & Gore: Most of the movie is gore you see a lot of people being torn to shreds. When Dante gets back you see a lot of the family ripped to shreds. you see Beatrice catch fire and burn up.

Profanity:  Theres a lot of uses of damn and hell.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking:You see some people drinking beer and wine.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: The movie has a lot of people dead and demons so it might be frightening to young viewers but it is just animated.

Story: After fighting in the Crusades for three years, Dante rides back home to his family estate to reunite with his beloved Beatrice and his father. Dante sees a rider following him, but out of the blue, the man vanishes without trace. When he arrives home, he sees the servants slaughtered, his father murdered and Beatrice near death. When her soul is going to the heaven, Lucifer takes Beatrice to Hell, telling her that Dante has betrayed her. Dante meets Virgil who guides him to Hell, and the poet explains that Beatrice had a bet with Lucifer that Dante would be faithful to her while in the holy war. In return, Lucifer would protect Dante and bring him back home safe and sound. Upon arrival in Hell, Dante learns that he needs to cross nine circles to reach Lucifer ad on his painful journey, he discovers who doomed his family to suffer in Hell.

Likes : This story is amazing, i've read the book & played the game, now watched the film of this epic horror adventure of one man's journey to save his loved ones soul after he curse her by his own hands in the crusade wars. This story take you into the very depth of hell itself as he must face off 10 levels of hell minion to recuse her soul from the devil & redeem himself of his own sin's.
Date fable tell of hell being a place scribe as being a place for everyone for every sin there is a special place you go in hell:
heaven - Ante-hell
Earth - Neutrals
ACHERON:
Level 1: Limbo = The unlighted, the wilfully ignorant
Level 2: Lust = carnal malefactors, the terminally repressed
Level 3: Gluttony = The self-indulgent & overfed, competitive eaters
Level 4: Greed = The miserly & avaricious
Level 5: Anger = The wrathful & sullen
STYX (The wall of dis)
Level 6: Heresy = Impious & toxic souls
PHLEGETHON
Level 7: Violence/Despair = Warmongers & destroyers, murderers, tyrants, suicide (forest of despair forever living in tormented by the living wanting to die by cant) squanderers, against god: blasphemers, sodomites, usurers.
Level 8: Fraud = panders & seducers, flatterers, simonists , Dniner, astrologers & magicians, barrators, hypocrites, thieves, fraudulent counsellors, sowers of scandal & schism, Falsifiers of metals, persons, coin, words.
Level 9 : Treachery = catna traitors to kin, Antencra traitors to homeland or party, Ptolomea traitors to guests, Sudecca Traitors to benefactors.
COCYTHUS
Level 10 : Lucifer
Watch this film tho it like a dc comic animated film violent but with a lot of blood ,fantasy
& history throw into one film, it one game you should play or read the book because this is what fantasy horror is all about.
I love story's like this one a man willing to give up his insanity to brave his own mortal soul to face fire & brimstone to rescue his loved one soul from the depths of hell, it has a romantic but dark concept with a epic storyline to go with one of the best story's told of revenge, passion, love & redemption.
If you like the animated film or just like these type's of film's this is one I recommend you watch for the storyline alone, you wont be disappointed with this film. The outstanding animation with the concept of this film really brings this film out with the hell concept, which is visual impressive, to show hell for what it is, a place full of tortured soul.

Dislikes : There is one story of this film/game/book. There should be a sequel at least for this concept.

Overall : Epic adventure in to fire & brimstone, a journey to save a loved one from hell. a must to see

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 9.1 out of 10 for concept & storyline.

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: Super Hybrid

Genre:  Horror Sci-Fi Thriller, warning this film dose contain disturbing scenes

Cert: 15 cert

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: none

Violence & Gore: a guy I seen being electrocuted. two guys are seen being cover in black liquid screaming in pain with blood is seen. a dead body is seen. hybrid attacks. woman is seen being run over. car crash.

Profanity: a few mild to strong profanities thrown throughout the film.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking:. none

Frightening/Intense Scenes: The hybrid creature could be frightening to younger viewer & few scene could be disturbing for some.

Story: Late one night, a mysterious car is brought into the Chicago police impound garage after a deadly traffic accident. The on-call mechanics soon discover the car has a mind of its own. With hundreds of horsepower and two tons of reinforced steel at its command, it's a seemingly unstoppable killing machine capable of outrunning -- and outwitting -- humans.

Likes : Imdb have so underrated this film by giving it a 4, its at least a 6. this film isn't supposed to be a Oscar winner or any award winning film its done pretty well on a Budget: $13,000,000.
The way to look at this film is to put yourself in their shoes, you turn up for work as usual everything is normal until a strange car arrives, there is something not right about it.
This is where the clever concept comes into play with this film as you have to think of a claustrophobic concept trap in a park lot with no escape & something is out for blood. This is where the terror comes in to play with the 7 trapped in this car lot. Some mite say this film is bad or just not entertaining but I would say from my point of view this film is entertaining at least I think the director Eric Valette has done a good job on the budget he had to make this film, I think if he had a bigger budget this film would be a 10 at least. Altho this film wont be for everyone it just depends on what you like to watch but this is a good film to watch.

Dislikes : I just think it could of done with a bigger budget.

Overall : Mysterious creature feature, blood & horror, not the best but good to watch

Rating:  4.3 out of 5 for entertainment/ 6.1 out of 10 for concept & storyline

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: Ladder 49

Genre:  Action Drama Thriller

Cert: 12A

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: On his first day at the station, Jack is told that a priest comes twice a year to hear confessions, so Jack goes to see him (the man is behind a curtain). We hear the man's voice asking Jack about sex and whether he has impure thoughts. Jack replies that he does (adding "quite a bit"), with the voice telling him to cut back and then asking if Jack's a virgin. Jack nervously laughs and the voice asks if Jack thinks it's funny to fornicate with loose women. We then see that it's Lenny posing as a priest to give Jack a hard time on his first day. One of the other firemen then jokingly tells Jack to let him know when he finds those loose women

Violence & Gore: Jack and others enter a huge building that's on fire and where it's noted that some sort of dust inside might cause explosions. Some of them start to cause the floor to collapse, with Jack trying to hold onto his rope but then falling down through the floor -- several stories -- until he lands quite hard in the debris below (he's knocked out).

Profanity:  At least 1 "f" word, 6 "s" words, 8 hells, 4 asses (2 used with "hole"), 1 crap, 1 damn, 4 uses of "Oh God," 3 of "G-damn," 2 of "Oh my God" and 1 use of "Swear to God." There is also an abuse of Jesus' name.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Mike appears to be intoxicated when Jack first arrives at the station as a rookie. Mike pours liquor for both and we then see that while he's fully dressed up top, he's in just his boxers down below (further indicating drunkenness).

Frightening/Intense Scenes: As Jack leads the fire hose through a house, he encounters a literal flood of rats pouring down the steps (that squeal when he steps near or on some of them to get upstairs to fight the fire).

Story: Under the watchful eye of his mentor Captain Mike Kennedy, probationary firefighter Jack Morrison matures into a seasoned veteran at a Baltimore fire station. Jack has reached a crossroads, however, as the sacrifices he's made have put him in harm's way innumerable times and significantly impacted his relationship with his wife and kids. Responding to the worst blaze in his career, he becomes trapped inside a 20-story building. And as he reflects on his life, now Assistant Chief Kennedy frantically coordinates the effort to save him.

Likes : This is one of the best film's i've ever seen, starring Joaquin Phoenix, John Travolta, Jacinda Barrett, Robert Patrick ,Directed by Jay Russell back in 2004.
These guys spent 19 weeks with the real NYFP to get what it mean to be a firefighter so that when they play fire fighter on screen it looks real, John Travolta said in an interview that he's proud of the NYFP because its one of the toughest jobs in the world to do.
This is one film if you haven't watched it yet, I recommend it, tell the story of one brave firefighter that rescue load of people from a burning build but became trap him self, it a fight against time to rescue him.
This is one film that has the most emotional ending & one sincero that some firefighters have to deal with from time to time, it the caption that stand out the greatest challenge is to rescue one of their own. This is one hell of a well made film & show just how brave fire fighter have to be entering a out of control fire in a build.

On September 11, we watched in awe as the buildings collapsed and 340 firefighters were taken from us prematurely. Although the loss of lives that day included thousands of innocents, we warmed to our heroes and it brought their efforts and incredible bravado back to our attention. Immediately after the tragic events, it was not uncommon to see people wave or salute firefighters in the most remote regions of our country. On CNN we began to hear stories of the personal lives of these men. Their support. Their sacrifices.
Ladder 49 shows them for what they deserve to be recognised as – heroes who at the sound of an alarm will put themselves in harms way to help others. It brought to light by brilliant performance from Joaquin Phoenix, John Travolta, Jacinda Barrett, Robert Patrick & the rest of the cast of this film for show how much Sacrifice & hero's firefighters are in today's world. I for one think this film is so underrated as this film is brilliantly made.

Dislikes : Nothing wrong with this film.

Overall : One of the best film's to show firefighters as hero's & the bravery it take to enter a building on fire when everyone is running out, this is one film I recommend you watch if you haven't already

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment10 out of 10 for concept/brilliant storyline of courage.

Gerry barnaby's film review: Hang over part 3

Genre:  Comedy  warning this dose contain drug use & strong violences

Cert: 15 cert

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: nearly non stop graphic sexual references, jokes, dialogue and actions including a few references to homosexuality.
One scene takes place In a Penthouse Suite and several women are shown topless (non sexual) drinking and snorting cocaine.

Violence & Gore: Alan does indeed accidentally kill a giraffe and it is dismembered and the body and the head are graphically shown rolling around the highway with blood everywhere.
There are two scenes that show characters get killed head shot execution style and the bodies are shown on screen.
One character says he will kill another if the Wolfpack does not "return the money they helped steal" and there are numerous times where we think the person will die.

Profanity:  Non stop graphic language throughout including some references to one character "being black" and other references to homosexuality. (Meant humorously but still graphic)
110 F-words
Alan uses nigger once
0 C-Words

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking:There are multiple scenes involving drugs, as the main antagonist is a drug dealer.
There is a scene that takes place in a bar with several characters are drinking and smoking.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  The opening scene involving the giraffe and the execution of a certain character may upset some viewers.

Story: In the aftermath of the death of Alan's father, the wolf pack decide to take Alan to get treated for his mental issues. But things start to go wrong on the way to the hospital as the wolf pack is assaulted and Doug is kidnapped. Now they must find Mr. Chow again in order to surrender him to the gangster who kidnapped Doug in order to save him.

Likes : This is one of those film's your I've love or hate to be honest I'm not much of a big fan when it comes to these films. It has it moments that you will laugh at but The plot is as such: (spoiler alert) Alan's father dies and this basically sends Alan a bit cuckoo and over the edge (like he wasn't already), but this time his family can't deal with it. So his family, including Phil and Stu, stage an intervention in which they plan to send Alan to a mental institution to try and change him as a person. While Doug, Stu, Phil, and Alan are driving to this place, they get ambushed by Black Doug and John Goodman. I refuse to call John Goodman anything other than John Goodman, because I don't care what movie he's in, he's John Goodman. John Goodman is some sort of mobster/drug dealer who has a little score to settle with Mr. Leslie Chow. Mr. Chow has stolen John Goodman's gold, but he can't find Chow, so he enlists the help of the Wolf pack to find the gold. To ensure that they try and find it, they kidnap Doug (of course) and threaten to kill him if they don't find the gold for him. That's the first plot, because it is so basic that it doesn't even last long enough. The second plot is that they have to find Mr. Chow and bring him to John Goodman.i found the film one of these films funny but with the second film & now this one its one of those films that should of been a one off film.

Dislikes : This is the type of film that should of been a one off film to be honest, the second film just felt like the first film, & this 3rd film just felt like the 2nd film rehashed. It just wasn't anything new & fresh like most sequel are, it felt lazy in the storyline should of been done better since its the last one.

Overall : Not really funny, but you mite like this film, but it wont be for everyone.

Rating3.1 out of 5 for entertainment / 5.4 out of 10 for storyline

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: Black Fish (Documentary Film 2013)

Genre:  Documentary  Warning this documentary film is emotionally upsetting

Cert: 15 cert

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: An orca's penis is visible in a video showing its semen being extracted

Violence & Gore: Photos of wounds inflicted on Tilikum by other captive whales are shown. At one point, video depicts Tilikum bleeding in the water. As well as wounded female who then deies due to wounds caused by other whales.
Orcas are shown screaming while being restrained for an endoscopy. As well as screaming when young are taken off of them. Also dead orca's are seen from early in the film as they die during capture.
One person is attacked when an orca grabs her foot and wounds are seen in a video by a by-stander, also another trainer is grabbed and dragged under water and he then fights to get out and away from the whale we see his injuries after this, While no deaths are show or videos of the attacks that causes the death of trainers they are graphically described via autopsy and witness reports. For example, the film describes one of Tilikum's victims as having had his genitals eaten by the orca.

Profanity : none

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking : none

Frightening/Intense Scenes: The descriptions of orca attacks are disturbing, as is footage of orcas being captured.

Story: Notorious killer whale Tilikum is responsible for the deaths of three individuals, including a top killer whale trainer. Blackfish shows the sometimes devastating consequences of keeping such intelligent and sentient creatures in captivity.BLACKFISH tells the story of Tilikum, a notoriously aggressive orca that killed three people while in captivity. Director Gabriela Cowperthwaite uses shocking footage and emotional interviews to present a convincing case against keeping these wild animals for human entertainment.

Likes : One thing about this documentary film I like is the fact that Seaworld can no longer hide behind their bullshit excuses & lies now the truth has finally came out.
This is got to be the only documentary i've sat through that i've had tears in my eye all the way through because it is seriously emotional look behind the scene of what happened to Dawn Brancheau that day which a show took a tragic event that took her life & the behind the scenes look on how these beautiful spiritual creature are treated its upset me.
there is a point in this documentary I had to leave the room watching it because it upset me to a point I got up & punch the door as I walked out the room, I hate seeing animal like this being treat in such horrible condition over the sake of entertainment & money.
You can not just take an animal like a killer whale from the wild from its family & social group & put it with other killer whales that have come from different part of the world. Killer whale are Family social groups species, they gather together in groups that they have grown up with in the wild, this is why in the wild you see them in groups, you can not expect to put a killer whale with other groups expect these whale to get along.
Killer whale are not these aggressive killing machines, these a highly intelligent social creatures that need interaction with each other in there own groups they grow up with, you can tell that a killer whale is not happy in captive when the fin is curled over to the one in the wild.
This documentary is one of the most disturbing & upsetting documentary i've ever watched, but I recommend you watch this to see the truth behind the death of dawn Brancheau & the disturbing way that Tilikum was being treated to see it wasn't the killer whales fault for dawn's death but the failure to understand the nature of the whale in the first place over money & entertainment.

Dislikes :SORRY I AM HAVING TO VENT THIS BECAUSE I'M OUTRAGED & UPSET AFTER SEEING THIS DOCUMENTARY.
Seaworld MANAGEMENT you should be ashame of yourself, trainer DEATHS over the period of 20 years 3 deaths by the same killer whale because you don't know how to keep them or get to know their nature yet they still keep him in the show.
Even I can clearly see what was wrong with Tilikum watching the footage of him, you shouldn't of had him in the show, The death of Dawn Brancheau wasn't her fault or Tilikum's it was your fault sea world for not better understand the nature of the killer whale, her blood is on your hands ,you wash it away like it was nothing by blame her shame on you.
She was a expert trainer, you had Tilikum on his own all the time with no one to play with & no social interaction with its own kind, no goddamn wonder the whale was like the way it was no social interaction that physiologically scaring a social animal that is highly intelligent & lives for the same amount of years we do, seriously get your information right sea world.
I Am outraged & seriously upset that you carry on having this mammal in a show over money, lying to the press saying that it was dawn's fault she die, when clearly Tilikum is physiologically scared having been taken away from its mother in the wild & put with other species that it hasn't grow up with, it no damn wonder Tilikum is the way he is & is a danger to people, you should've let him go back to the wild. Sea world you disgust me!!!!!!! May Dawn Brancheau Rest in peace Knowing it wasn't your Fault or Tilikum.

Overall : Disturb, shocking & emotional documentary your ever see & the truth is revealed behind dawn death.

Rating: 5 out of 5 for entertainment / 8.9 out of 10 for the truth behind the scene of sea world

In memory to Dawn Brancheau you are sadly missed by family & friends
We will always know it wasn't you or Tilikum fault you died.
                                             MAY YOU REST IN PEACE

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review : Riddick 3

Genre:  Action  Sci-Fi Thriller  Warning This film does contain strong nudity & extreme violence

Cert: 15 cert, but I would say a strong 18 cert due to violence

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: There are a few scenes one of them fully naked full view woman in sexual positions on a bed, Riddick is seen naked but not clearly shown, one woman washing show a brief moment of her breast.

Violence & Gore: There is strong to extreme violence & gore in this film

Profanity: medium to strong language

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Moment of someone smoke a cigar

Frightening/Intense Scenes: Alien predator scene maybe disturbing to the younger viewer.

Story: Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge.
With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.Left for dead on a sun-scorched planet, Riddick finds himself up against an alien race of predators. Activating an emergency beacon alerts two ships: one carrying a new breed of mercenary, the other captained by a man from Riddick's past.

Likes : Ok I can see why this film got poor ratings but I find its been under rated slightly because its still a good film, its start off at a point that you think what the hell am I watching as it does show a softer side to Riddick which is not the Riddick we know.
It does pick up midway through the film where it does get intense & we see Riddick at his best when the merc's turn up but then comes the sub plot that links to the first pitch black film which was good because it kind of steps up its game slightly.Vin Diesel's does his best to come off like the Riddick we all know but I think its a error on the writers part giving him a soft side which I think was a mistake for this character as furyans don't have softer sides.
But there is a heartbreaking moment in the film & this is where you see Riddick completely loses it & goes physco you can see why he does, its after this moment when thing start to speed up in the film.Katee Sackhoff  is plays Dahl This is the usual role of a hard ass don't mess with type of woman of like the way we saw her in Battlestar Galactica, her character has this strong piss me off i'll screw up up attitude which works for her character in this film as you will see she is one tough woman.(cameo) Karl Urban returns in one scene as Vaako, you can see he was plotting something.
Matt Nable plays the sub plot of riddicks past your probaley recconise the name Boss Johns, his character seem to be on the planet after Riddick for other reason to which I can't say because it would give way the plot line, but he plays this role brilliantly.
Along with the other crew,  Dave Bautista as Diaz, Bokeem Woodbine as Moss, Raoul Trujillo as Lockspur, Conrad Pla as Vargas, Nolan Gerard Funk as Luna, Noah Danby as Nunez,Danny Blanco Hall as Falco, Andreas Apergis as Krone, it become a fight for survival as the hunters become the hunted.
There a few scene of sexual nudity special with the consort girls on the bed which I would say wow beautiful, there is a lot of funny moments as well on the planet involving Riddick. Which is probably why this film got slightly low ratings as they tried to give riddick's character a soft side showing that he become social & civilized since he been with the necromancer's as there leader.
I would go far as to say this was a good film to watch it has its moment but I wouldn't expect this film to be a perfect film as the first film because it does lack what the first film had so you might be disappointed in this film.
But it does depend on what you like as this film isn't going to be for everyone, but its still worth watching for the entertainment value of it.

Dislikes : Altho good I didn't like the fact they made Riddick soft because his character isn't supposed to be soft its supposed to be the hard ass, don't mess with type of guy you should be scared off, they made him look soft with curtain scenes this is probaley another reason why this film got poor ratings.
There was other scene with Riddick & Boss Johns which I noticed was iver a mistake in acting because there was a slight hesitation with one alien that came in to shot before he shot it, it looked like he has made a mistake on when to fire or forgot where the alien would be, thats what I did notice even the scene was fast paced.

Overall : Not the best Riddick film, but still worth watching for the entertainment value but you maybe disappointed because not everyone is going to like this film.

Rating: 3.9 out of 5 for entertainment / 6.8 out of 10 for storyline/concept.

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: The Frozen Ground (DvD realise) 2013

Genre:  Biography Crime Thriller warning this film does contain graphic scene of dead body's

Cert: 15 cert

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: Multiple scenes throughout the movie of bare breasts and suggestive dancing in a strip club.
Two women make out in the back room of the club.
The plot involves rapes and this is discussed, but nothing is shown.
One of the main characters is a teenage prostitute, and sex acts are discussed.

Violence & Gore: Dead bodies are shown, partially dismembered and eaten by animals.

Profanity: a lot of strong language

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Scene of drink & take drugs.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: The film concerns a serial killer who kidnaps his victims, rapes and tortures them before killing them: it is an intense subject. This is NOT a film for children.

Story: An Alaska State Trooper partners with a young woman who escaped the clutches of serial killer Robert Hansen to bring the murderer to justice. Based on actual events.

Likes : This was a brilliant & interesting film to watch based on true events, good think about this film is the fact it wasn't made to remember the serial killer & what he did, it was made in honor of the victims & the one that survived to live on to have three kids & got married made something on her dark life.
This guy that done these murder's was seriously a sick individual special with what he did, when he was caught he got sentence for 461 years + life in prison for what he did, with no parole, at least justice was done with this guy. The beautiful Vanessa Hudgen's brings an amazing performance as she plays the surviving victim Cindy Paulson, now this is a very dark gritty role Vanessa is playing here but this is what show's she a talented actress & has come all way since high school musical.
Nicolas Cage plays the town sheriff Jack Halcombe on the hunter for his sister killer but also the serial killer that killing the young girls, He really bring a brilliant performance here you could see the desperation in trying to find evidence to bring this guy in.
John Cusack brings a very cold chilling role to this film, normally you see him play a nice guy but in this film he come across very cold shift with a lot anger & mental issue which make this performance brilliant & it shows a believe character that he playing.
(cameo) 50 Cent plays the drug pushing sex house pimp, which has a very nasty side to his character.
Like I said before this film is very dark in nature so some scene my disturb you or upset you in some way so be warned about that, but this was a good film to watch if you like watching films on true events or true stories. Brilliant performance from all in this film done a brilliant job in make a true story come to light & dedicate this film to the victims & the families that lost their loved one to this sick person. Like I said before this film was made in memory of the victims as there is a bit before the credit that show the victim names.

Dislikes : Just slightly a bit slow but it was ok, because it need to be to set the tone.

Overall : Dark, gritty, true story, brilliant performance from all, worth watching.

Rating: 4.6 out of 5 for entertainment / 7.8 out of 10 for Concept/story

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: Bad Milo

Genre:  Comedy Horror  Warning this contain's a lot of childish ass jokes & blood

Cert: 18 cert

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: There is a scene of a sex dungeon, woman give a BJ

Violence & Gore: there is a lot of bloody scenes & milo coming out of the ass

Profanity: Some strong language

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: There a few scenes where people are drinking

Frightening/Intense Scenes: Just a few scene that are pretty screwed up

Story: Ken is an average guy who works at an average office job. But he starts to get pains in his stomach whenever he feels stressed out. Things get worse every time he tries to just hide his stress, by burying it inside. It all comes to a head when that "stress" is turned in to an actual little beast that exits his body via his butt and takes revenge on the things that stress him out. But it soon starts to threaten the one thing he loves, his wife.

Likes : Watching this film you can complete tell it in an 80s style horror film, which I didn't know if I should laugh at it or find the creature cute, because it was like looking at a mutated baby with sharp teeth. Now these types of film were OK back in the 80s but seriously this type of film belongs in the 80s & really doesn't fit with today's film's, this serious wasn't the worst thing I've seen but it very close. If you like the old horror film from the 80s that used puppet's your probably like this but for me being a horror fan this wasn't the greatest horror film at all.
It not scary at all it more of a comedy than a horror altho it dose contain the bloody scenes, it a laughable horror. This is one of those films your Iver like or your just find completely boring & stupid. I for one have seen better horror than this, this to be honest is not really worth watching unless your in to the 80s style puppet horror film's.

Dislikes : Like I said horror like this have had there day back in the 80s,they have no place in the modern day horror film's.

Overall : Not really worth watching unless you like 80s style horror film's

Rating: 2.1 out of 5 for entertainment / 3.4 out of 10 for horror concept/storyline.

Now, with the nation's government falling into chaos and time running out, it's up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.

Likes : This is what you call another white house attack film, where terrorist taken over the white in the aim to get something, Now this was good in action wise but i just cant see Channing Tatum as an action star, he dose a good performance in this film but he's no Gerard butler.
Through most of this film it dose's get intense & the violence dose get extreme at time, its try's to be like Olympus has fallen but fall's short. Jamie Foxx play the President James Sawyer who want to bring peace to four nations but upset a few other people who want war which is what start this whole mess, he is pretty good at playing this part.
The whole story become a race against time as Channing Tatum character Cale has to fight to get his daughter back & stop a war world 3 from happen. This is a good all round action film but it the whole thing once you seen one you've seen them all because the film Olympus Has Fallen as come out before this it kinds of take the best out of this film because you've seen it before.

Dislikes : The only problem is the fact that this film has been done before with Olympus Has Fallen between the to film's i found Gerard butler play this action hero better, its like i said i just cant see Channing Tatum as an action star, he's been good in other films but with this one, it was just lacking in originality its very hard not to compare the two film's i think that's what lets this down slightly.

Overall : Good action scenes, Not a bad story, if you like olymplus is falling you mite like this.but your probaley like Olymplus is fallen better

Rating: 3.2 out of 5 for entertainment / 5.6 out of 10 for storyline/concept
