Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: Zero Dark Thirty

Genre: Drama History Thriller (Warning) this film Dose Contain strong intense violence & strong language

Film Constance parent advised to read before watching :
Sex & Nudity: Brief nudity,A nightclub briefly features women in tight, revealing dresses. bare backside is show briefly.
Violence & Gore: Very strong on torture, suicide bomber & people being shot.
Profanity:Nearly 60 f-words, many tossed around by Maya, some used sexually, some combined with "mother." About a dozen s-words are also used, along with a smattering of other profanities (including "d--k," "a," "bch" and "hll"). God's name is misused three or four times (paired once with "dn").
Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Wine, beer and other drinks are downed. Dan plies a potential source in a nightclub with alcohol. Several people smoke, and prisoners are offered cigarettes as incentives.
Frightening/Intense Scenes: A few instances of sudden violence, such as sudden explosions or shootings.

Cert: This was given a 15, i would say due to the level of violence i would a say 18 cert

Story: For a decade, an elite team of intelligence and military operatives, working in secret across the globe, devoted themselves to a single goal: to find and eliminate Osama bin Laden. Zero Dark Thirty reunites the Oscar winning team of director-producer Kathryn Bigelow and writer-producer Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) for the story of history's greatest manhunt for the world's most dangerous man

Likes : I'm guessing that a lot of people have heard about this film,i would say this is one of the most intense films out there, and the main reason is because of the violence. Although not extremely bloody, there is a lot of gritty violence throughout the film, as well as harsh language. I'm very surprised this film was made since this is based on a true story that happened a year ago, i'm not surprised if this film got a up roar from the muslim people since this film is based on the assassination of the world most dangerous man Osama bin Laden. The funny thing about this film which is true facts as well is all the time they were looking for this man he was right under there nose all that time.I don't con-don violence in an form or torture because its in human at best, but i'm not sad or remotely unhappy this person is died because i don't like terrorist or people who support terrorist, i guess few people would say that is ignorant but starting a war over something that start over something that happened 1000 years ago is kind of taking the piss, yes what happen in the crusades shouldnt be forgot but it not excuse to start another war that some tyrant of the church started yet we as a human race never seem to learn from our mistake from past i mean everyone in the world with that not just terrorist. To be honest this film has brilliant casting & brilliantly filmed with a very powerful concept in a way of being very political, in both religion & war. This is one film worth watching for entertainment & f you like films on true events this is one you mite like.

Dislike: The only thing about this film is the fact it is slightly a bit slow, but not slow enough where you lose interest in the film.

Overall : Not a bad film to watch, very intense, slightly slow but worth watching

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 for entertainment / 8.7 out of 10 for the concept & true events.
