Genre: Adventure Drama Fantasy, Warning dose contain some scene that maybe disturbing.

Film Constance parent advised to read before watching :
Sex & Nudity:Jack and Isabelle kiss. Isabelle shows some cleavage in a few of her outfits. No sex or nudity.

Violence & Gore: Moderately intense battle scenes throughout between huge giants and humans. Some some people getting dismembered, mostly off screen or in the distance, so very little graphic detail and no blood

Some crude humor (farting, burping, nose-picking). One use of an incomplete F-Word (something like "fuhhh"), with some uses of "damn" and "ass." Some crude humor (farting, burping, nose-picking).

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: None.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: Giants eat some humans, but mostly off screen or in the distance. The giants may be frightening to younger children. Some intense battle scenes with giants and humans getting killed with arrows, falling flaming trees, are getting smashed by flying debris.

Cert: 12A

Story: "Jack the Giant Slayer" tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack (Nicholas Hoult) into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend-and gets the chance to become a legend himself.

Likes :First of all not a bad film,it was enjoyable to watch, good epic adventure theme with some comical moments mixed in.As we all know the story of jack & the bean stock this tale set a different tone to what we've seen before as in a twist in the story about a long war between the humans & giants.i think bryan singer has made a good enjoyable film that fun, epic adventure that most will enjoy. There is a large amount of C.G.I but but it doesn't come off as being fake like most C.G.I have been in the past with a pretty solid casting really set the tone & concept of the film.Pretty good casting for jack played by (Warm bodies star) Nicholas Hoult who play the farm boy hero of the film which was brilliant done, playing the love interest in the film the beautiful princess Isabelle who played by the stunning Eleanor Tomlinson was seriously beautiful,i loved her character a bit of a rebel that loved adventure her performance this film was brilliant.Ewan McGregor has become quiet the movie star as he plays the knight captain Elmont, Brilliant performance with hes character who seem to have a bit of a comical side to him.Stanley Tucci Plays the villain of the story Roderick who doesn't seem to last long in power, with he idiot side man Wicke played by Ewen Bremner who character seem to be this cocky little guy.Ian McShane play the King Brahmwell, he character Love's hes daughter Isabelle but doesn't want to lose her because he lost her mother,he performance was amazing playing this part,he seemed to be like his daughter with a rebellious streak. The moment i saw the two headed giant i was listening to the voice it,it none other than Bill Nighy who play Davie Jones in pirate of the caribbean,he the voice of General Fallon who character whats nothing but revenge for being trapped by king Erick years ago.The general i didn't even notice i played Ralph Brown you couldn't even see it was him with the beard & mustache,This is quiet enjoyable & at time funny to watch but it one of those film's you iver going to like or not.

Dislike: Well the begining of the film felt lazy with the back ground story, special with the whole film having really good C.G.I the back ground story was really bad cartoon C.G.I which i think could of been done better,Despite the good acting & concept of the storyline of the film, it could of been better than what it was there just wasnt a epic ending for a hero to stand out it felt like its been done before.

Overall : Epic adventure, few funny moment & some scary moment, but enjoyable to watch.

Rating: 4.1 out of 5 for entertainment / 6.3 out of 10 for concept & storyline
