Now, with only a loyal detective's (Julian McMahon) face familiar to her, she cannot trust anyone as she struggles to resume her normal life, and, plagued by fear and a vindictive Jack, struggles to survive.

Likes : This film was really good, kept you wondering who the killer was when would he strike, (milla jovovich) who plays anna who has a illness of face blindness cant see who people are because there face changes everytime she looks at them, it was a weird film to watch see there face change as to looked at them but it was a very good film watch.

Story : 1875. New Mexico Territory. A stranger (Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. It's a town that lives in fear. But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. As this gunslinger slowly starts to remember who he is and where he's been, he realizes he holds a secret that could give the town a fighting chance against the alien force

Likes : This Film wasnt to bad,(Daniel Craig) who plays Jake Lonergan wakes up in the middle of no where dosent know where is or what is name is & has a strange metal devise on his rist, but that just the start of he's problem, you later reliese that there alien force looking for gold but will destroy everything to get it, (Olivia Wilde) goregous as ever plays Ella Swenson who you find hold a secret thats she been hinding,(Harrison Ford) one of the most decarated actor ive seen plays Colonel Dolarhyde, Wood an old colonel of the war who lead a band of men that are not that good to people,(Abigail Spencer) (cameo) who plays alice jake's wife, (Ana de la Reguera) play's Maria the doc wife,(Sam Rockwell) who plays the doc seen him in a few other films not a bad actor,i like the way they all banded together to take down the aliens. Dislikes : Its the whole Alien & Cowboy thing for me even tho i wasnt a bad film to watch i find that weston & sc-fi dont mix well that much i give a for effort for trying something new but i thing if your going to mix themes you have to be smart about it because it mite not work.

Story : Arriving by boat at her family's Louisiana lake island cabin, Sara (Sara Paxton) and her friends quickly strip down to their swimsuits for a weekend of fun in the sun. But when star football player Malik (Sinqua Walls) stumbles from the salt-water lake with his arm torn off, the party mood quickly evaporates. But as they set out in a tiny speedboat, the college friends discover the lake has been stocked with hundreds of massive, flesh-eating sharks! As they face one grisly death after another, Sara and the others struggle desperately to fend off the sharks, get help and stay alive long enough to reach the safety of dry land.

Likes : This film wasn't to bad it was a typical slasher film with teenager's fighting for there lives but with sharks & the one that put them there,i love shark film this one really make you think twice about going in to the water again, good thing as well they used really sharks in this film & not some mutated sharks like most other film like to do,so it wasn't a bad horror film to watch. There are some moments that make your jaw drop to the floor & make you squint & look away.

Dislikes : Only one thing really it was predictable on who the bad guys are in this film, i'm not on about the sharks.

Gerry Barnaby's Film Review: Paranormal Activity 3

Genre:  Horror , contain extreme paranormal violences

Cert: 18 cert

Story : Paranormal Activity 3 is set in 1988 when sisters Kristi and Katie are young (5 and 9, respectively). It is meant to chronicle the events that the girls cannot fully remember in the first two films – namely the demonic entity first coming to haunt them. The girls’ mom has a boyfriend, Dennis, who begins to film the phenomenon happening in their home. The mom, Julie, has decided not to have any more kids – much to the chagrin of her mother (the girls’ grandmother), Lois. A mysterious symbol drawn on a crawl space ceiling in the girls’ room leads Dennis to a book about a coven of witches in the 1930s who served demons by brain-washing girls of child-bearing age into having sons for the demon to collect, before wiping away the child-bearer’s memory of the event

Likes : not much to say about this film realy, other that the fact ya it scared the living crap out of me for the first hours of the film & that the sister in the first film was pretty hot , the only thing scary about this is i know that these things are real & do happen to unfortunate people who come across these things & it just a shame that they think by using a quig board to contact the ghost will work when all it does is give it power to hurt you, this third wasnt to bad with the camera work made it look real.

Dislikes : Iver got so many faults with this film, one its to slow & the ending serious it just made it unreal, watch the boyfriend on the floor having his back snaped by some unseen force seriously, ive seen better horror films, the other is the picture now you here them say that the picture they had was burned in a fire at there mums house so why was there no mention of a fire in this third one big mistake.

Overall: if you like these short of films your enjoy it but other wise dont waste your time because it was that good.

Rating : 2 out of 5 stars for entertainment, 4 out of 10 for horror scences

Gerry Barnabys Film Review: Fright Night (2011 Remake

Genre:  Comedy Horror , contains bloody vampire scene's & strong violence

Cert: 18 cert

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: A woman is shown walking with a bra on and a night gown (but it's open to show the bra.)
Plenty of flirting and sexual innuendo (most of it dealing with a vampire's power to seduce).
Charley and Amy definitely think about having sex. They kiss, and, in one scene, Amy unsuccessfully attempts to seduce him. At the end of the story, they prepare for their first sexual experience.

Violence & Gore: Though the movie's tone is slightly comic, there's still plenty of strong, vampire-related violence, including lots of blood, dead bodies, biting of necks, licking of blood, stabbing with stakes, shooting with crossbows and guns, characters being hit with cars, fighting, and explosions.
Vampires burst into flame and ashes when they're killed.
People are bitten by vampires and blood is generally shown (usually as a splash).
A teenage boy is bitten by a vampire in a pool and blood is seen in the water.
A woman who has been bitten by a vampire suddenly explodes in blood and disintegrates when she goes outside into the sunlight.
Two teenage boys in a car are bitten by a vampire and blood sprays on a boy's face and the car window.
A vampire is hit in the neck with a large axe and a very large, gory wound is shown.
A vampire is shot several times resulting in blood spurts.
A vampire's arm is trapped in a shutting door, and is sliced off. He is seen hobbling around without his arm for several minutes.
A vampire is stabbed in the back with a wooden stake. It thrashes around convulsing and violently in pain, and is then hit by a car.
A vampires broken arm snaps itself back into place and heals

Profanity:  Strong, frequent language includes many uses of "f--k" and "s--t."
Other words include "p---y," "bitch," "ass," "balls," "d--k," "jerk-off," "crap," "douchebag," "hell," "damn," "goddamn," "oh my God," and "Jesus Christ" (as an exclamation).

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: A man drinks liquor frequently and we see him holding and drinking bottles and glasses filled with liquor and tells a teen boy that he "gets drunk".
Two teens briefly smoke a marijuana joint in a car and are approached by a man who knocks on the window, prompting one of the teens to say, "Ditch the weed, ditch the weed..."
A man jokes that when he is drunk he will "try anything," a man drinks a beer and we see empty beer bottles and wine glasses on a table.
A man offers a teen boy a drink of liquor (the teen boy turns it down), a man asks a teen boy for a beer and the teen boy gives him bottles of beer, a man offers to purchase beer for a teen boy and the boy's mother, we see people in a club/bar holding drinks in their hands.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: Despite the attempt at a lighter tone, it has plenty of vampire violence, with lots of blood, biting, stabbing, shooting, burning, and fighting.

Story : Senior Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all-he's running with the popular crowd and dating the hottest girl in high school. In fact, he's so cool he's even dissing his best friend Ed (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). But trouble arrives when an intriguing stranger Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there's something not quite right-and everyone, including Charlie's mom (Toni Collette), doesn't notice. After witnessing some very unusual activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on his neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone that he's telling the truth, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this revamp of the comedy-horror classic

Likes : I completely love this remake of the old 1985s version of fright night, this film had the darkness & the scare factor in it, (Colin Farrell) playing the vampire Jerry he's role suited him playing this cool, mysterious but dangerous alpha vampire was just just awesome, i love the way they got (David Tennant) as the vampire slayer Peter Vincent was just brilliant.(Anton Yelchin) who played chekov in star trek performance as Charley Brewster a young teenage boy caught up in the fight to save he's & girlfriend Amy who is played by the gorgeous (Imogen Poots) was nothing short of spot on.It's story is pretty basic, and somewhat cliché'. I mean come on, a vampire living next door. But the weird thing is, it didn't come off as cliché'. And i think the biggest contribution to that was the pace of the film. Once you get past the first 10 to 15 minutes of the film, which are kind of dull, the movie quickly begins to morph into a fast paced gore fest. And now looking back on it......if it were not rated R, then this movie would have been stupid, and it would've fit in with every other crummy horror remake.
But the aspect that i appreciated the most was the writing. For once, they didn't alter any rules to make their film different. They stuck with what already works, and left it up to the actors to make these vampire rules entertaining. And Collin Farrell did just tha

Dislikes : you just couldn't fault-er this film at all

Overall: if you love the old version of this film your love this new remake, its a must to watch.

Rating : 5 out of 5 stars for horror, 10 out of 10 for performance

Likes : There is just something i like about the final destination film's, each death is different & more nastier than the others spawning this 5Th film was just awesome, i swear every new film of final destination is more nastier than the other especially this one, same story line as the other someone has a premonition of there own death & saved himself from it,but this time i love the fact it was tied in to the first film, the death scene wow just nasty, some sense i had to look away it was that evil.First off, this movie was way,( and I mean), way better then the last two movies were. It was darker and had a lot of elements from the first movie, which I loved. I don't want to give away too much, but I do want to say that the last scene of the movie will leave you speechless. It had me thinking, "OMG, that was AMAZING how they came up with that twist." I recommend you see this movie. It might have the same theme as the first four movies, but unlike the first four, it's on a much higher scale.

Dislikes : the only dislike in this film is the long tile at the start of the film seriously it was as long as the end credits to start the film off.

Overall: if you love the final destination films this is one to watch its more nasty than the others, the death scene are just nothing on the first 3 films there more no messing around it pure vicious gore fest

Rating : 5 out of 5 stars for entertainment, 10 out of 10 for death scenes.

other than that, there is no smoking in this film

Frightening/Intense Scenes: A man with Alzheimer's dies in his bed with his son at his side. Very emotional.
Since animal cruelty is depicted on several occasions in this film, caution is advised to those who may find this upsetting.

Story :Will Rodman (James Franco), a scientist working in GenSys, a state-of-the-art laboratory, is desperate to find a cure for Alzheimers, since his father ( John Lithgow) is fast succumbing to it. He develops a wonder drug, ALZ 112 and tries it on chimpanzees. Everything seems to be going right until one of the chimps goes wild and needs to be put to rest. But before she dies, she gives birth to a baby which is smuggled home by Rodman for temporary care. betrayed his love and trust Will Rodman (James Franco), a scientist working in GenSys, a state-of-the-art laboratory, is desperate to find a cure for Alzheimers, since his father ( John Lithgow) is fast succumbing to it. Likes : This film was really good, i loved the way they show Caesar anger & mood he was in like a human would act i love the way they showed his intelligence as he grow smarter, the was a lot of moments that where on the edge of the seat, but not bad action as well. James Franco role in this film was so much better than spider man films & your highness he suited this role better i think. Directed by Rupert Wyatt, the movie feels like it was directed with tight lease. Caesar and his actions and reactions to the world are the best part of the movie. I think you are not going to see CGI at its best again until James Cameron comes up with Avatar 2 and 3. The story is tight and makes you sit on your toes even though you know what's going to happen in the end. Acting wise, James Franco leads the charge as a son who won't let go of his father. Frieda Pinto is adequate.

Dislikes : I think the ending should have been better really it end when it was just getting in to it.

Overall: not a bad film to watch could of been a better ending to it but worth watching.

Rating : 5 out of 5 stars for entertainment, 8 out of 10 for action special effect.

A log swinging on ropes strikes a wizard; his face is reddened, but he is unhurt. PG
Smurfs kick and tie up a man, but let him go after one threatens to make haggis out of his innards. PG

Profanity:  The Smurfs use the word "smurf" in place of what could easily be imagined to be offensive words, like "Oh, my smurf!" or "You smurfed with the wrong girl." G

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking:At a party, a dinner, and a reception, men and women sip alcohol, wine and champagne. PG

Frightening/Intense  ScenesOne sequence in which Gargamel finds Smurf Village might frighten very young children, since Gargamel destroys many of their homes and winds up driving them off into the enchanted forest. PG/PG-13

The image of Gargamel may frighten young children PG

Story : The Smurfs make their first 3D trip to the big screen in Columbia Pictures'/Sony Pictures Animation's hybrid live-action and animated family comedy, The Smurfs. When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the Smurfs out of their village, they're forced through a portal, out of their world and into ours, landing in the middle of New York's Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down

Likes : i love this film,it an old child classic cartoon of mine,it makes you laugh but its surprising heart warming at the same time, i'm very surprised that its was the one & only( Katy perry) that done the voice of Smurfette the blue girl smurf with blonde hair, (Jonathan Winters) voice as papa smurf,i love that fact of they put the adult humour in it as well, its just such a funny film. The movie includes some emotional subplots with Papa Smurf and Patrick, who feels he is unready to start his own family; though it all becomes pretty unnecessary in the face of the Smurfs' main goal to return home. Humor, again, mainly appeals to the kids, sporting sight gag after sight gag, but every once in a while there's a clever reference thrown in for the older folks in the audience.
Hank Azaria gives about the most cartoonish performance as any villain could, resulting in an upsetting mix of interest and annoyance. On the other hand, where it is used the CGI is incredibly high-quality (i.e. the Smurfs, Gargamel's cat, etc.), and the special effects are designed more specifically for 3-D viewing than in most movies as of late.
The Smurfs is mildly entertaining, at its best, but it is written with the right spirit and is in no way an injustice against the original series. It offers a nostalgic throwback (with a modern twist) for the adults and an amusing show for the little ones. For the ones in between, I advise avoiding this movie.

Dislikes : there was nothing wrong with this film

Overall: This is one to watch with your kids or with mates,it an around family film with laughs that will have you laughing hard.i recommend watching this film.

Rating : 5 out of 5 for cgi animation, 8 out of 10 for storyline

Gerry Barnabys Film Review: Super 8

Genre :  Mystery Sci-Fi Thriller , contains some violent scenes & alien creature

Cert: PG--12A

Parents advised to read before viewing film as some scene may contain scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.

Sex & Nudity: A girl appears to lightly kiss a boy's neck and we see a small outline of lipstick on his neck..
A boy tells a girl that he is going to "go to first base" once he gets a driver's license.
On two occasions we see a teenage girl wearing an abdomen exposing top and short shorts (her parents point out that they are inappropriate).
A boy is momentary seen sitting in a bathtub (no nudity is visible, only his shoulders and up are seen.)
A boy says that another boy is a "pussy".

Violence & Gore: The acclaimed train crash scene shows a pickup truck driving headlong into the freight train, and then causes it to derail, explode, and fall apart. The train cars smash into the nearby station, causing more fire and explosions. It is a long scene as Joe and his friends run for cover (none of them are harmed, though one of them pukes).
The driver of the pickup truck is shown with blood streaming down his face and alive (jumpy moment) and points a gun at the kids, threatening them.
When the alien creature invades the town, we see a few people killed/snatched up by it. These scenes show some material destruction, but the actual alien attacking a victim is offscreen. By the end of the movie, we do see it snatch up people a few times
The alien destroys a bus, endangering all of (and killing some) of the people inside. Windows smash as the bus is turned over on its side, and the alien breaks a giant hole into it and attacks the people inside.
The alien causes a man's head to explode. We briefly see gore and brains splatter all over a window. This is the most graphic part of the movie.
The zombie movie made by the kids shows fake deaths, but with alot of fake blood. A character is thrust up against a wall against nails as blood oozes from his head. Another is shot several times in the chest, blood flowing.

Profanity:  One use of the "f-word". Several uses of "s--t," "bulls--t," "a--hole," and "bitch" by the middle-school protagonists.
Other words include "p---y," "d--k," "hell," "ass," "damn," "dumbass," "idiot," "stupid," "oh my God," and a few exclamations of "Jesus!" and "God!"

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: A teenage boy is seen smoking a marijuana cigarette and then acting extremely affected after driving under the influence.
A boy remarks that a teenage boy is passed out and "drugs are bad."
A teenage boy offers to sell another boy marijuana (he turns him down).
A man seems inebriated and we see a bottle of liquor in front of him, a man is seen driving and throwing a bottle of liquor into the back seat of the car.
A girl implies to a boy that her father has a drinking problem and that he drinks until he is unable to work.
Throughout the movie we see men and women smoking cigarettes.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: The sight of the alien will very likely be frightening to younger viewers.
The last 30 minutes of the movie are very intense.
A couple of jump scares where the monster appears out of nowhere suddenly.
A train derails after a truck hits it head-on and you see the violent aftermath of the train derailment.
A monster grabs a young store clerk. and he is dragged out of the store and killed. This scene is very intense.
A man inspecting power lines is killed suddenly by the monster.
The monster smashes the side of a bus. This is very sudden and is not expected.
An emotional point in the film comes where the main character copes with his mother's death.
The monster is seen holding a severed leg and making eating sounds.

Overall: 29/50
Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi action and violence, language and some drug use
12+

Story : In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth - something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.

Likes : this film was OK,a little slow to start with but not to bad,a group of kids trying to make a film when a train crashes with something in side it story line was believable but some what slow.As an homage to the Spielberg films of the 80's, this movie succeeds. As a piece of original entertainment? Nothing happening, folks. Now, if you're a kid and have never seen The Goonies, Jaws, ET, War of the Worlds, and Cloverfield, you may think this film is absolutely wonderful. And judged through the lens of cinema history, it may well be looked upon as a culmination of all that came before. The film is about a town mystery looked through the eyes of children. From the early part of the movie, you feel like something powerful and dangerous is lurking around and is going to jump out on you at any moment. Ever-multiplying questions tease your brain and a suspense is building up at the back of your mind right up to the end of the story.
The acting was very convincing and drawing although the movie suffers from its mediocre ending. A few times I felt that the logic and the flow of the plot were a bit unrealistic and artificial. I wish that the story was focused more on the mystery and the children's reactions without all the insignificant distractions and one-dimensional minor characters. From special effects and sounding perspective, I'd say it was stunning. One of the best I have seen in the genre in years as you would expect when you see Spielberg's name on the screen. There's this big scene at the first half an hour into the movie where you just get nailed to your sit due to the load sound which should have been annoying but it was not. It was awesome. You don't see this in Germany often but after this specific scene, the audience gave Abram an standing ovation!!! It was awesome. Of course at the end, everyone was angry because he ruined the whole thing with a very cheesy "et-like" ending but all in all it was worth the money, better than most of the movies in the last 6 months, I would say.

Dislikes : the whole alien film is been done to death,it felt like a e.t wannabe film, it was to slow in places

Overall: this film was OK to watch but its a DVD release more than a cinema release, but not a bad film to watch.

Rating : 3 out of 5 entertainment, 5 out of 10 for storyline
