Story: Chernobyl Diaries is an original story from Oren Peli, who first terrified audiences with his groundbreaking thriller, Paranormal Activity. The film follows a group of six young vacationers who, looking to go off the beaten path, hire an "extreme" tour guide. Ignoring warnings, he takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but a deserted town since the disaster more than 25 years ago. After a brief exploration of the abandoned city, however, the group soon finds themselves stranded, only to discover that they are not alone.
Likes : This film has a good storyline, some good moments, im not normal one for documentary style filming in films i find them some time a little boarding but right of the bat this film dose set a tone for the film & when thing start to happen i dose make you jump in place's, Dimitri Diatchenko play a former special ops soldier who set up he's own tours for the chernobly town for anyone that what to visit this abandon place, the unwilling victims in the film are Zoe played by Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Natalie played by Olivia Dudley, Amanda played by Devin Kelley, Chris played by Jesse McCartney, Michael played by Nathan Phillips & Paul played by Jonathan Sadowski. This film has the concept of the hills have eyes,so don't be thinking this is a supernatural film because its far from it.
Dislike: One you would think this film would be scary nope!!!!, it so far from it, it was more like them panic & shouting running around like a bunch of idiots trying to find a way out of the town when if they used there heads they could of use the path they came in on, two this film dosent have enough scares to frighten you, it was lacking that shock factor that most horror film's.plus the ending seriously that was so predictable from the way they were asking her questions,so but this film failed in horror for me,ya it was enjoyable to watch but it lack horror & suspense
Overall : Not a lot of scares, if you looking for a good horror film i would avoid this film, if you looking for a cheap horror than you mite like this film,it really dose depend on what type of horror you like
