Violence & Gore: Some brief torture sequences throughout
One character punches a man in the face repeatedly and the man's face is shown red from being beaten. He then throws the man into a wooden cell/shower. The shower only has 2 settings, freezing cold and burning hot. The water is set on burning hot more than once, we hear the character screaming, but we do not actually see this.
A detective slams a man onto a metal table to interrogate him, however the man picks up the detective's gun and shoots himself in the mouth.
The climax of the movie is intense and suspenseful.

Profanity:  25-27 F-words throughout, but because of the long running time (2 hr 33 min) and the fast pacing, it's very hard to tell.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: This may be scary to some parents with young children.
The torture scenes are somewhat intense. 
 
Story: How far would you go to protect your family? Keller Dover is facing every parent's worst nightmare. His six-year-old daughter, Anna, is missing, together with her young friend, Joy, and as minutes turn to hours, panic sets in. The only lead is a dilapidated RV that had earlier been parked on their street. Heading the investigation, Detective Loki arrests its driver, Alex Jones, but a lack of evidence forces his release. As the police pursue multiple leads and pressure mounts, knowing his child's life is at stake the frantic Dover decides he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. But just how far will this desperate father go to protect his family?
 
Likes : This is got to be Huge Jackman best powerful performance to date as you see from the trailer of this film he play the character of Keller Dover who's kid & friend kid gets taken, from there this film taken you on a trip dark intense & emotional journey as the family is put through hell during its darkest hour.
Also from the trailers you know that his character is out for blood as their daughter's are missing, throughout the film you can really feel his pain, anger and moral struggles as he try's deal with this situation & its this performance that really show Hugh Jackman brilliance as an actor because he bring the most believable performance ever playing this role. Also bring an outstanding performance Jake Gyllenhaal as he plays the Detective Loki who try his best to find the girls & track down who took them before its to late.
The director Denis Villeneuve does an excellent job of keeping you invested in the film emotionally even though some intensely violent scenes. Its dreary setting provides no comfort, but goes hand and hand with the narrative, this film is not for the faint of heart as some scene of torture may be disturbing for some viewer but this is a worth watching film that will shock you & bring you to tears in emotional moments as its a pretty shocking film.
This may not be a film for everyone which also depend on your taste of film's but this is for me one of Hugh Jackman best performance to date & a film you must see.

Dislikes : The only slight problem I will say that some people might not like about this film is its can be very slow throughout the film but the film as a whole is brilliant.

Overall : Brilliant, emotional journey, a must see,

Violence & Gore: The ghost tends to grab her victims and later drop their scratched up bodies. A few punches are thrown in two scenes and gunshots in one scene. at the end of the film Kyle shouts to the tooth fairy "I See you bitch! and he then punches her across the face with fire, destroying her forever

Profanity:  A few religious obscenities and one f-word

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: One scene happens in a bar full of people who are drinking beer, and some who are drunk.
 
Frightening/Intense Scenes: The whole film revolves around a vicious vengeful ghost, so there are a lot of scary "what-was-that-noise" scenes and some frights.
The very beginning is the scariest part of the film. It may be hard to watch as Kyle runs away allowing the ghost to kill his mother.
The Ending of the film where The Tooth Fairy has her mask knocked off is really disturbing because her face is all burnt
 
Story: In the 1800's there was a woman that little children would take their old teeth (ones they had recently lost) to in exchange for a gold coin. A few years later, tragedy struck her, first a fire in her house which caused her to not be able to go into any type of light, and then she was hanged. There's a story that goes around the town of Darkness Falls about her, and she's called the Tooth Fairy. The story goes that she can't go in the light, and if you wake up and see her, she'll kill you. The usual saying is "Don't Peek." Well, there is a boy named Kyle who gets a warning from his friend Caitlin to not peek. Well, he wakes up on the night when the Tooth Fairy is supposed to come and get his last tooth and sees her. It all leads to more tragedy and the movie jumps to 12 years later. Now grown up, Caitlin calls Kyle because her little brother Michael is going through the same things he did as a boy, and wants his help. Kyle goes back to Darkness Falls to face his past
 
Likes : This is a brilliant film, this is one of those film that really show why some people were scare of the dark as a young kid & why some time the fear of the dark goes to adulthood this is one example of a film that shows that.
Inspired by the real dark fairy tale of the tooth fairy from brother grim story's & an age old story of waltzing mirtilda known as the tooth fairy who's husband died at sea which gave us the famous song waltzing mirtilda a famous Australian song.
 This story take you in to the heart of the darkness & your inner fears to truly terrify you to the bone.
On the DvD is has a true history back ground story of waltzing mirtilda which is a pretty sad story but a frightening back ground story for her, but this film is one of the best horror film's I've seen in a while. this is one film I recommend that you wont be disappointed with a lot of people will probably say it was a bad film not worth watching but I recommend you watch it for your self's because the story & back ground really sets the tone for this film's concept & the dark horror theme that really show why you should be scared of the dark.
I find this Narrator really sets the tone of this film brilliantly: It is said that over 150 years ago, in the town of Darkness Falls, Matilda Dixon was adored by all the children. Whenever they would lose a tooth they would bring it to her in exchange for a gold coin, earning her the name, the tooth fairy.
 But fate was not kind to Matilda. One night fire tore through her home leaving her face horribly scarred. Matilda's burned flesh was so sensitive to light she could only go out at night, always wearing a porcelain mask so no one could ever look upon her face.
One day two children didn't come home. The town's people blamed Matilda - they hanged her, tearing of her mask, exposing her hideous face to the light. And with her dying breath Matilda laid a curse upon Darkness Falls.
The next morning the little children were found safe and sound. The town buried their secret along with Matilda's body. Since then there are some who believe that Matilda visits the children of Darkness Falls on the night they lose their last tooth, seeking her vengeance on any who lay their eyes upon her face, fulfilling her curse: What I took before in kindness, I will take forever in revenge.

Dislikes : Some of the acting is a little off but if you can look past that, your find this film a really good film to watch.

Overall : Brilliant story, scare horror scene, worth watching.

Story: Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn't always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn't stand each other. "Monsters University" unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends

Likes : I don't have a problem with Disney film when they stick to kids film because it entertaining for the family & kids but I hate it when they chance stuff on other film like avengers, but Disney every now & then bring out a family film that you really enjoy watching.
This is a prequel to monster inc set before mike & sulley became friend & were in university for monsters for a scares course, now this film is full of funny character which take you to university life but puts it in to a point of view of monsters trying to become the best scare monster to graduate university, along the way mike & sully friendship get strong with the help of a few friends.
monster university is a film you can go wrong with & it great entertainment for all the family that will seriously make you laugh your head off because there are a few moment that seriously make you laugh, Special with after the credit's with the slug monster I laugh my head off at that point.
although a great family entertainment film for all the family this might not be for everyone as some people have different tastes in film, but this is so worth watch if you like Disney Pixar film, because they have made some classic family entertainment film over the year's. this is one I recommend watching with your kids or if you just like this film.

Dislikes : It not as good as the first one but is still worth watching.

Overall : Great adult & child humour, great family entertainment, worth watching.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  Some intense fights and chase scenes.
 
Story: Casey, a Westerner studies Ninjutsu in Japan. And in their Master's possession is an Ninja armor with some legendary weapons which goes to a deserving person. Masazuka, another student thinks he is that person but the Master has an affinity for Casey. One day Masazuka attacks Casey and Casey defends himself scarring Masazuka. Masazuka would be banished. He would then become an assassin, who works for a group criminals called The Ring. Masazuka would return demanding the armor but the Master still refuses. The Master tells Casey and his daughter, Namiko to take the armor to America where it can be kept from Masazuka. After killing the Master, Masazuka follows them to America and tries to get it. Casey is erroneously arrested for crimes committed by Masazuka. He eventually abducts Namiko and demands turn the armor to him. Casey tells him if he wants he'll have to fight him for it

Likes : I agree with some review that this film does take the concept of the old American ninja film's & makes it better for todays martial art film's & with Scott Adkins playing the lead role make's the martial arts fight scene so much better.
What this film does as well, is capture the true beauty of japanese martial arts & the way of a samurai fighting to an outstanding concept that really show just how much there martail arts mean to them.
It also capture the culture of tradition, discipline & training of japanese martial arts which really set a realistic tone for the film.
I find this brilliant done, those who say that Scott Adkins can't act seriously haven't got a clue in acting because you give any actor the right role, that where the acting skills shine through with the right storyline & character they come off better in a film.
This is a brilliant made film, the fight scene are amazing with aerial combat kicks special the one scene with Scott Adkins really show homage to the great Bruce lee with taking on a lot of guy on at once just one hell of a brilliant fight scene.
This is one film I recommend you watch if you loved the 80s American ninja or grow up on martial arts of that theme this one wont disappoint. It also has that tale of revenge & love concept as well which lend to a final confrontation fight with a disgraced Masazuka  play by Tsuyoshi Ihara also actress Mika Hijii who pay the love interested Namiko Takeda who performance is brilliant.
The other good thing of this film that is brilliant done is Togo Igawa brilliant performance as Sensei Takeda, he brought the beauty & culture of japanese martial art tradiction out perfect in this film that gave this film a realistic feel to the culture which is very rare in some film's but is fantastic in this one.

Dislikes : Nothing wrong with it, spot on film

Overall :Good fight scene, amazing martial art combat, brilliant culture & beauty of japanases martial arts, worth watching or having in you dvd collection.

Story: Ken has just moved from Kansas with his mother. He talks to a girl named Julie, not knowing that her boyfriend Tom is very possessive of her. Tom is learning karate from Lee, a sensei whose brother was killed by a rookie cop named Billy. Billy has since then become the janitor of the school that Ken, Julie and Tom go to. When Ken gets beaten up by Tom for talking to Julie again, Billy helps Ken by teaching him how to defend himself, which eventually leads to a battle between student vs. student, and sensei vs. sensei.               
 
Likes : Showdown" aimed more at teenagers. In the beginning of the movie, Ken Marx (Kenn Scott) arrives on his first day of school after moving from Kansas with his mom. From the get-go as the new kid, Ken doesn't fit in with the other students, his only friend being Mike (John Mallory Asher), another local outcast who shows him the ins and outs of his new environment.
Right away, Ken makes the mistake of hitting on the pretty blonde Julie (Christine Taylor), instantly making mortal enemies out of her extremely possessive boyfriend Tom (Ken McLeod). Of course, Johnny... er... Tom, is a violent Karate black belt, instructed in a macho, unethical form of martial arts under the macho, insane Lee (Patrick Kilpatrick). Ken takes several brutal beatings from Tom, until one day he's saved by the school's janitor, Billy (Blanks). Billy decides he's going to teach Ken to defend himself, so that he can finally stand up to Tom and win over Julie.
Now I think this film is kind of underrated to be honest only been given a 4.5, which is so underrated for what this film is, yes it not an Oscar winner martial art film but it not meant to be, its a good entertaining film that's enjoyable to watch.
I can relate to the character of ken because I was bullied myself though school its not easy to fit in to a new school when you get some idiot bullying you, so ya if you've been in a situation like this you cant relate to this character.
Not a lot of people know that Kenn Scot is one of the teenage mutant ninja turtles film back in 1990 I believe it was Donatello he played.one thing about this film is that it will be hard to find on DVD as it one of those rare film that you mite be lucky to find in a shop or on amazon.com, I was lucky to buy it when I saw it. This is a good afternoon film to watch despite its cheesiness this is a very good film that you cant really go wrong in watching.

Dislikes : This film wont be for every one, some mite think this film is bad, but other mite like it depend on your taste of film's.

Overall : Really enjoyable film to watch, good fight scene, comical moment's

Sex & Nudity: The queen and the leader of the Leaf Men have several suggestive encounters at the beginning of the film suggesting they are involved.

Violence & Gore: Tiny froglike men known as Boggins dress in the bones and skins of dead rodents and animals. The froglike men fight with each other and the Leaf Men.
The froglike men fire arrows that cause ugly callouses to form on trees and cause plants to wither and die. The leader of the Boggins has a staff that kills instantly. It is used in several instances.
A bat is turned to a skeleton mid-flight.

Profanity: General name calling (idiot, flat face, stomper)

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  The entire movie, save a few parts, is dark and foreboding. Several scenes show tiny men and gray ominous creatures in battle and at war. Closeups on the villains faces drive home the feeling. This may be disturbing for some children
 
Story: Young Mary Katherine (M.K.) returns to her eccentric scientist father's home, but his all-consuming quest to discover a tiny civilization in the neighboring forest drives them apart. However, M.K. soon finds herself shrunken down by Queen Tara of that forest who was mortally wounded by the putrefying Boggans, and charged to deliver a pod bearing the new Queen to safety. Together with a veteran Leafman warrior, two goofy mollusks and a young maverick, M.K. agrees to help. As the villainous Boggan leader, Mandrake closes in, M.K. and her new friends must draw on the best of themselves together and discover what they have to save their world

Likes : The acting is really superb and all the actors have great chemistry together: Amanda Seyfried, Josh Hutcherson, Christoph Waltz, Colin Farrell, Aziz Ansari, and Jason Sudekis are terrific, while Beyoncé is the best of all. She is a real acting triumph in the film, and her performance is so critical in the film, as Queen Tara will do anything to ensure the safety of the forest and the lives of her friends, and that she leaves M.K. a very important mission to do her behalf when she couldn't. She brings a lot of integrity, passion, and heart to her role and helps carry the film with spectacular grace. This is one animated film that just spell the title of it own movie epic, its a great family movie that your kids would love as well as the adult's with it funny one liners & classic animated humour you really can't go wrong with this film as it has the epic adventure feel to it as well. This is one film recommended for all the family to watch.
 
Dislikes : Nothing really wrong with this film really it dose depend on weather you like animated film so this wont be for everyone.
 
Overall :Epic adventure for all the family, Funny classic animated humour that kid & adult will love, worth watching

Sex & Nudity: Throughout the movie we see teenage girls, boys and men and women in bathing suits, including teenage girls wearing bikinis (with bare abdomens and cleavage exposed), tight surf shorts and small bikini bottoms and bikini tops and short shorts.
A teenage girl takes off and changes her bikini while three women surround her holding up towels; we see no nudity.
The bare back of a teenage girl is briefly visible as she struggles to tie her bikini top.
A teenage girl jokes with another teenage girl that a bikini top is very small and could be used as an eye patch.
A teenage girl says that she could be "showing a lot more than her moves" if her bikini top would fall down.

Violence & Gore: The film was rated PG mainly because of the accident scene.
A shark jumps out of the water and bites a teenage girl's arm. Blood is shown in the water. As she is pushed to the shore, a trail of blood follows (no tissue or bone is shown). A shirt wrapped around her arm becomes soaked with blood and she turns pale and is about to pass out.
A doctor unwraps her shoulder showing a row of inflamed red stitches where her arm was (no blood is visible).
She experiences a nightmare where she believes a shark is about to attack her; she wakes up screaming and is comforted by her father.
Two teenage girls on surfboards ride close to one another, and one of the teenage girls shoves the other off her board and into the water (she is unharmed).
A teenage girl turns her head and vomits (the vomit is shown coming from her mouth and hear the noise as it hits sand and water).

Profanity: 2 religious exclamations.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: The shark attack scene is very intense, with loud music, and chaotic film-work. Also, the aftermath may be disturbing for some.
Bethany goes with her church group on a mission trip to Thailand, where they are dealing with a tsunami disaster. Many of the people there are hurt or crying, and have lost many family members. Mostly just sad.

story : Bethany (AnnaSophia Robb) was born to surf. A natural talent who took to the waves at a young age, she was leading an idyllic life on Kauai, participating in national surf competitions with her best friend Alana (Lorraine Nicholson), when everything changed. On Halloween morning, a 14-foot tiger shark came out of nowhere and seemed to shatter all her dreams. Soul Surfer reveals Bethany's fight to recover from her ordeal and how she grappled with the question of her future. Strengthened by the love of her parents, Tom (Dennis Quaid) and Cheri (Helen Hunt), and supported by her youth group leader Sara (Carrie Underwood), Bethany refuses to give in or give up, and begins a bold return to the water


Likes : i like this for so many reason,it hits you emotion that make you think no matter how bad things are & how many times you get knocked down you get back up & try again,this film was amazing based on a true story, this girl that AnnaSophia Robb portrays brilliantly in this film is amazing even tho she lost her arm to a shark attack she never gave up on her passion for surfing that in my book is courge in its self to never give up keep fighting.
This is one of those film that real inspire you to keep going no matter the odd, Soul Surfer is an inspirational film for the entire family about overcoming obstacles and turning tragedy into triumph.
Filmed entirely in Hawaii, it offers some gorgeous cinematography and wonderful surf-action shots and features an all-star cast including Helen Hunt, Denis Quaid, Craig T Nelson and AnnaSophia Robb as Bethany, the teen titan with a heart of gold.I highly recommend this entertaining and uplifting film for the entire family.

Dislike : nothing bad to say about this film


Overall : an uplifting film that will make you cry but make you feel good,bethany hamilton is remarkable inspiration to everyone thats loss a a leg or arms in an accident she never gave up on her passion to surf & inspiring the world at her courge to never give up,this film is worth watching its such a inspiring film to watch.
